Cracking midweek Betfred-sponsored card at Epsom on Wednesday; seven contests in all, starting with the 17:20.

Epsom 17:50 - Wise And Wonderful @ 3/1
Nice little 7f two-year-old maiden, with some mighty fine yards represented.
Wise And Wonderful is a twice-raced daughter of Oasis Dream, housed with Andrew Balding, and ridden by Dave Probert. Quietly progressive in those two respectable spins at Kempton and then Wetherby, at 6f then today's distance of 7f, she's a likely improver and is up there with the best of those with an official mark and/or a Racing Post rating.
Powerful stable that's rarely too far from having another scorer.
Epsom 18:22 - Goldwork @ 6/1
Class 4 sprint handicap now, over 6f.
The selection is Goldwork, a three-year-old Dark Angel gelding. Last time out 11 days ago he produced a fine effort, finishing third of nine beaten 2l at HQ in a similar affair.
He's been quite highly tried and for now this is probably his territory. One win from nine so far - number two could be incoming ...
Charlie Bishop rides for Eve Johnson Houghton. Races off the same mark as last time, 79.
Epsom 18:57 - Alma Latina @ 6/4
Hector Crouch and Ralph Beckett are a formidable partnership, and they team up here with a three-year-old Study Of Man filly in the form of Alma Latina.
Miss Kirsten Rausing's famous silks will be worn by Hector, and the filly won last time out 29 days ago at Ponte, by an impressive 3.5l. She runs now in her first handicap, stepping up from 10f to a mile-and-a-half, and must defy an opening mark of 82.
She's shown stacks of ability though and her sire is a French Derby winner, admittedly at short of this trip. Her dam was also respectable at 10f so we'll have to keep our fingers crossed that the distance is within range.
She certainly wasn't stopping last time out in West Yorkshire, at a very stiff and testing track, and this could be right up her street.
Epsom 20:07 - Just Adair @ 2/1
Division 2 of another 12f test, this time a Class 6 handicap.
Team O'Neill are more famous for plundering big jumping prizes throughout the winter but AJ and Dad Jonjo saddle this four-year-old gelded son of and Eclipse and Juddmonte winner, Just Adair.
Eight runs, and two wins so far. Keeps modest company, and would be bred to be a good bit faster than so far shown, but I'm sure he's great fun for connections.
Reappeared after a 216-day break 30 days ago with a solid 1.25l second at Windsor in a similar race and in about as promising a run as any he's produced so far.
Billy Loughnane was in the saddle that day, for the first time, and most encouragingly he retains the ride this afternoon. Smashing chance.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £255 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
