Liverpool vs West Ham Prediction: Reds to edge past Irons

After back-to back 1-0 victories over Sunderland and Nottingham Forest, Liverpool will be targeting a third consecutive Premier League win on Saturday (15:00 GMT) when they host West Ham United at Anfield.
Below are my Liverpool vs West Ham predictions, supported by all of the latest team news and match odds.
Liverpool vs West Ham Betting Tips
- Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under 3.5 - Liverpool & Under 3.5 Goals @ 8/5
- Player to Have 2 or More Shots - Axel Disasi (WHU) @ 9/1

Team News
Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley (both knee), Jeremie Frimpong, Wataru Endo (both unspecified) and Alexander Isak (leg) are out injured for Liverpool, but Florian Wirtz, who missed last weekend’s win at the City Ground with a muscle problem, should return for Arne Slot’s side on Saturday.
As for Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham, Pablo (calf) and Lukasz Fabianski (back) miss out.
Liverpool vs West Ham Predicted Lineups
- Liverpool: Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Wirtz; Salah, Ekitike, Gakpo
- West Ham: Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf; Fernandes, Magassa; Bowen, Soucek, Summerville; Castellanos
Liverpool, who have won the last four head-to-heads, are 2/5 favourites to record a third consecutive Premier League win, implying a 71.4% probability of success, while West Ham, who last tasted success at Anfield in August 2015, are 6/1, or a 14.3% chance, to record back-to-back away victories in the competition.
The draw, meanwhile, is offered at 4/1.
Liverpool vs West Ham Stats
- LIV have won back-to-back PL games 1-0
- Six of WHU's last eight PL matches have gone under 3.5 goals
- Disasi (WHU) shot twice in the opening minute of last week's goalless draw with BOU
- LIV conceded two shots apiece to NFO CBs Murillo & Milenkovic last Sunday
Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under 3.5 - Liverpool & Under 3.5 Goals @ 8/5
A low-scoring Liverpool win looks like the best bet here.
After suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester City, the Reds secured back-to-back 1-0 away victories at Sunderland and Nottingham Forest, requiring an Alexis Mac Allister strike in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time to down the latter last Sunday.
West Ham, meanwhile, won 2-0 at Burnley in their first league game of February before drawing back-to-back home matches against Manchester United (1-1) and AFC Bournemouth (0-0).
Six of the Irons' last eight Premier League contests have featured three or fewer goals, while nine of Liverpool's last 12 in the top flight, including the last three, have gone under 3.5 strikes.
Slot's side won last season's corresponding fixture 2-1 in April last year and triumphed 2-0 at London Stadium in November of this campaign; I can see another 2-0 or 2-1 in favour of the Reds on Saturday, so a home win and under 3.5 goals appeals at 8/5.

Player to Have 2 or More Shots - Axel Disasi (WHU) @ 9/1
On-loan Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has never beaten Liverpool in four previous attempts (D2, L2), but he has scored against the Reds, in a 1-1 draw between them and the Blues in August 2023.
The Frenchman fired two shots off in that stalemate at Stamford Bridge, while he saw a left-footed effort saved in the 69th minute of a Carabao Cup final in February 2024.
Disasi has made a positive impact at both ends of the pitch since joining West Ham on loan at the start of the month, helping the Irons to keep a couple of clean sheets and recording three shots across as many league appearances.
The 27-year-old saw a late effort saved on debut against Burnley and shot twice in the opening minute of last weekend’s goalless draw with Bournemouth, hitting the target with his first attempt.
I struck gold with my Murillo tip last week, backing the Brazilian Nottingham Forest defender to shoot at least twice against Liverpool at 7/1.
The 23-year-old took just 19 minutes to land the selection, while his centre-back partner, Nikola Milenkovic, also helped himself to a couple of shots against the reigning Premier League champions.
Liverpool have now conceded at least one shot to seven of the last 10 starting centre-backs they have faced in the Premier League, and three of the last eight, Murillo, Milenkovic and Newcastle United’s Malick Thiaw, have registered two shots each.
