Liverpool vs Qarabag Prediction: Visitors to apply serious pressure

Liverpool are enduring a difficult Premier League season, but their Uefa Champions League form has been much better. Ahead of the final round of league-phase fixtures on Wednesday, the Reds sit fourth in the 36-team table, and a victory over Qarabag at Anfield (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 2) would guarantee a top-eight spot and see them avoid next month’s knockout phase play-offs.
Below are my Liverpool vs Qarabag predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, as the 18th-place visitors look for a positive result that will secure a top-24 finish and safe passage to the play-offs.

Team News
Joe Gomez is a big doubt for Liverpool after being withdrawn in the 34th minute of Saturday's 3-2 defeat at AFC Bournemouth following a collision with his own goalkeeper, Alisson Becker.
Wataru Endo came on for the Englishman at Vitality Stadium and could partner Virgil van Dijk in the middle of defence on Wednesday, although Arne Slot may be able to call on Ibrahima Konate, who has missed the Reds' last two games following the passing of his father.
Giovanni Leoni (ACL), Alexander Isak (leg) and Conor Bradley (knee) remain sidelined for Arne Slot's side, while Federico Chiesa (knock) is doubtful after missing Liverpool's last couple of matches.
Ramil Sheydayev is ineligible for Qarabag, but otherwise, head coach Gurban Gurbanov has a full squad to pick from.
Liverpool vs Qarabag Predicted Lineups
- Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Ekitike, Wirtz
- Qarabag: Kochalski; Matheus Silva, Mustafazada, Medina, Cafarquliyev; Jankovic, Pedro Bicalho; Leandro Andrade, Montiel, Zoubir; Duran
Liverpool are 1/9 to claim all three points on Wednesday, implying a 90% probability of success, while Qarabag, whose sole away win came in the opening week at Benfica (2-3), are 20/1, or a 4.8% chance, to emerge victorious from Anfield, with the draw offered at 8/1.

Away Team Total Corners Over/Under +3.5 - Over 3.5 @ 9/4
Liverpool have looked vulnerable all season, so while this may have seemed a routine game in previous campaigns, it’s certainly not looking like that heading into Wednesday.
The Reds have lost two of their seven European matches in 2025/26, and while they’ve won the other five, three have been by a one-goal margin, and last time out at Anfield, they were humbled 4-1 by PSV Eindhoven.
Slot’s side conceded four corners to the Dutch club, the first of a three-game sequence of giving up 4+ in the Champions League as Inter Milan and Marseille took six and seven, respectively, in their last two competition appearances, making it four for the campaign as Atletico Madrid took six at Anfield in September.
Liverpool are averaging 4.28 corners conceded per game - four at home - and their next opponents, Qarabag, are averaging 3.85 taken per game - 3.33 away from home.
Qarabag may need to take more risks as the evening wears on, so don’t expect the visitors to employ a completely risk-averse game, especially given the English outfit’s worries of late.

Bet Builder - Leandro Andrade (QAR) 1+ Shots on Target & Kevin Medina (QAR) 2+ Tackles @ 3/1
Having already scored against Benfica, Athletic Club and Chelsea during the league phase, Leandro Andrade’s 11/2 price in the Anytime Goalscorer market certainly raises appeal.
For added insurance, though, you can back the 26-year-old to register at least one shot on target.
The Qarabag attacker has hit the target with four of his seven shots in the league phase, also forcing a save from Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos during his side’s latest game, a 3-2 victory over the German club last Wednesday.
I'm also adding in a couple of tackles for Qarabag defender Kevin Medina, who has registered 2+ tackles in four of his last five European appearances.
