We step back up to four bends this afternoon after a very fruitful spell over the sprint trip. What I liked last week is, after the winning line to the trip, we pulled right away and looked strong and today's field to me isn't the strongest. We have an excellent opportunity to pace up in the long run up and go round in front.
T1 is a consistent top grade four-bend performer here, held every chance last week and couldn't quite get to the winner. Any weakness, or if we don't see our the trip fully, then this runner could be a danger late on in proceedings.
T3 is another fellow sprinter, not so good over four bends and is two-to-three lengths slower than us but as he is a sprinter will have exceptional early pace and that will be something to watch for. I do feel being drawn inside this runner we will gain that important first run.
T4 has been coming up through the grades and a couple of sub-28 second times read well in the context of this race, and I think it will take a 27-second run to win today's contest.
T5 has had good times recently but drawn out further than ideal today, and will edge left in run up. May come together with T4 early in this, spoiling each other's chances.
T6 won well in A2 last week and goes back up in grade today, also had good times recently and has a nice draw being the only wide seed today.
So to us in T2. Our early pace can take us clear in my view, but we aren't that strong late in the day so will need a two-to-three length advantage off the last to hold on.

The first semi-final of the Kent Derby tonight and we are looking at booking our passage through to final. We can do that with an all-the-way victory this evening from a draw out wide.
T1 has been better drawn this week after being crowded out at the start last week. Brings a really good level of form from Hove and trialled in well here in preparation for this comp. May see a different dog now he is drawn in red and he represents our main danger tonight.
T2 won well last week, and this Yarmouth Derby finalist will need to be on his toes early to avoid T1 and T3 coming across. I do see crowding on the inner and the runners soiling each other's chances.
T3 is a really close railer so this draw will prove hazardous for the two runners on this one's inside as he will be darting for the rails. Room will be at a premium early on in this contest.
T4 stayed middle last week and had no chance against the ante-post favourite, did stay on well into third and if the leaders come together here may come through late.
T5 has not been in the greatest form recently and did well to qualify for this semi-final. I think they will be an outsider tonight and will need lots of trouble to figure in this.
So to us on the outside, we have more initial pace than both the runners drawn inside us, and with what I think will be crowding on the rails, we can pace up and clear the field at the bend. Our middle pace is excellent, and there isn't much staying pace in field so if we go round in front, I like our chances.
