T4 (Droopys Poker) 20:46 Nottingham @ SP
We renew our rivalry with T2 this event and the score is 1-1 having each beaten the other in the last couple of weeks. Again, it looks a match between us and T2. I feel we have the better draw and can gain that all-important clear run to the bend.
T1 to me looks the leader this evening and can set the race up for both strong runners to come through. I just see us gaining first run on the leader.
T2 is a massive danger and will get a good tow into tonight's contest with T1 punching a hole and running lane for this runner. Does break slowly and not the best at coming past dogs on the bends, hence me siding with us. But a clear run will make us work hard.
T5 is slow to go and will edge right on the run up as is used to being drawn wide in T6. I do think this runner along with T6 will be big prices for tonight's contest.
T6 stopped the clock in an impressive time for an A2 contest last week and steps up to open racing again on the back of that. Had the race run to suit on a quick track and won't get that same luxury tonight in this deeper race against faster dogs.
So to us in T4, we can pace up on shoulder of T1 and go round here in second place, close down the back and go on by 3rd bend. My eyes will be drawn as to where T2 turns and as long as we gain first run I feel we will win. I wouldn't put anybody off a T2/T4 forecast but I'm confident of a big run by us.

T6 (Brinkley Louis) 20:54 Nottingham @ SP
We recently contested the Big Competition here where we ran well to get to the final, in against some of the top 4 bend performers in the country. We fared well but came up a little short. Back in calmer waters this evening and we can make that tell from a perfect draw out wide.
T1 had a quick win over 500m last week in his first open race in this country when leading all the way. This drop back in trip will be okay and if we don't come away then this runner is our main danger from a good draw on the fence.
T2 was fancied last twice at Monmore but both times coming up a little short. Ran middle those races and looks like he will do the same tonight. Issue will be not being here for a trial. More than likely this runner will swing off at the bend causing trouble for those runners on his outside.
T3 is a top grade middle runner here over 500m. Very consistent but this drop back to 480m doesn't look ideal and there are runners here with more early pace than this runner so trouble looks at the bend.
T4 is very slow to stride stayer and will get tapped for one early pace and that can lead to trouble at the bend. If all the leaders do get into trouble and take each other out then this runner can come through late on. But I don't see that and I can't fathom how this runner will get a clear run tonight.
T5 will move middle on the run up and first run back since being knocked over mid September. Has trialled over two bends since. I do see this runner edging more into T3/T4 path giving us lots of room on the outside.
So to us in T6, really good draw and race make up with what looks like a very good chance to pace up and clear the field at the bend, if we do get round untouched I feel we have the class to land this race. If we get held up then T1 may take advantage and I wouldn't put anybody off a reverse forecast on T1/T6 as T2 moving off at the bend could potentially take the remainder of the field out. I am confident of a big run by us out wide and I make T6 my bet of the day.
