After a brilliant return to the Scottish Premiership, Dundee will look to guarantee their place in the top-half split for the first time since 2015 when they face Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The Dark Blues are currently sixth but sit only one point above chasing Motherwell and will need a win to compete for the chance of European football next season.

After a disappointing campaign, Aberdeen will look to build on a recent return to form. The Dons are currently ninth following an underwhelming 2023/24 and under new interim boss Peter Leven will be looking to gather momentum ahead of the season split. Our Aberdeen vs Dundee predictions reflect an expectation that goals will be on the cards.

Aberdeen v Dundee Betting Tips

  • Bojan Miovski to score anytime @ 8/5
  • Dundee to win and both teams to score @ 11/2

Team News

Dundee will be hoping to see Liverpool loan signing Owen Beck return to action after he was ruled out for a month following a groin injury.

Tony Docherty’s side will still be without star Josh Mulligan, who picked up a hamstring injury in the reverse fixture midway through March. Curtis Main also remains sidelined but the pair are expected to return soon.

Aberdeen will be without defender Slobodan Rubezic, with Leven stating he will not be returning until the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic after two months out.

Captain Graeme Shinnie will also be missing through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season. He will likely be replaced by Dante Polvara.

Match odds

Despite sitting higher in the table, Dundee enter the fixture with longer odds and are priced at 5/2. Aberdeen are favourites at EVS, while a draw is at 13/5. Both teams to score is 8/11.

Bojan Miovski to score anytime @ 8/5

Aberdeen’s number nine Bojan Miovski started the season in fine form and has collected 14 goals in total. The striker fell out of form at the midway point but looks inspired once more under Leven, getting his name on the scoresheet against Ross County, and he was desperately unlucky to have his late winner ruled out against Livingston last time out.

The Dons' return to form can only be seen as encouraging for the striker, with the Macedonian international being a go-to option throughout the campaign. With the backing of home support, Miovski should be confident that he can reinvigorate his goal-scoring form ahead of the season split.

Bojan Miovski to score v Dundee @ 8/5

Dundee to win and both teams to score @ 11/2

Dundee played brilliantly against Aberdeen to beat them 1-0 at home last time they met, in what was Peter Leven’s first game in charge. Since then they have picked up one defeat and one win and have looked formidable in attack, averaging just under two goals a game this month. Aberdeen will have the backing of the Pittodrie crowd behind them and we can expect a high-tempo encounter.

Aberdeen have tightened up in defence in recent fixtures, conceding just one goal since Dundee’s visit, and under Leven the team has found some form in front of goal, averaging over a goal a game since he took over in what is a vast improvement on earlier in the season. However, with so much on the line you’d expect Dundee to come out all guns blazing.

Dundee to win and BTTS @ 11/2
