Tennis Betting Tips: Shelton to progress in Stuttgart

Tuesday was not my best day at the office as just one of my three tennis predictions landed. However, Karolina Muchova was able to get the job done against Maddison Inglis to seal a clean sweep for my Monday tips, and I'm itching for more success on Wednesday.

I've once again looked at Queen's but one of my picks for the day comes from ATP Stuttgart. Check out my Tennis Betting Tips below.

Set Betting - Ben Shelton to beat Pierre-Hugues Herbert 2-1 @ 5/2

France's Pierre-Hugues Herbert has impressed in Stuttgart this week with some strong wins in qualifying. He has not featured much in 2025 so far but he has a liking for the grass as it helps his service and volleys.

He faces USA's Ben Shelton, who is the third seed at this event and whose volleys and serves are his strongest assets on court. This has the making of a great battle and Shelton may be pushed all the way by his opponent. The American has enjoyed good form coming into this event, so I think this will give him the edge in this match, but I am expecting Herbert to ensure this one goes the distance.

I have Shelton to win 2-1 in sets.

Set Betting - Emma Navarro to beat Beatriz Haddad Maia 2-1 @ 3/1

Fellow American Emma Navarro is in action at Queen's on Wednesday and she is up against Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia. Navarro is in need of regaining her confidence after a bitterly disappointing clay season, but she does have a good record on grass.

The number three seed is not quite an established star on the surface but her performances in 2024 showed signs of promise and there will be a few keeping a hopeful eye on her progress this year.

This is going to be the sixth career meeting between the two players and Haddad Maia currently has the better of the results (3-2). She has troubled Navarro time and again so this looks to be another tough test for the American but this will be their first meeting away from clay, so this might just give Navarro the edge.

Haddad Maia is experienced on this surface but her form has been too inconsistent. I think Navarro can win this, but I'd expect it to go all the way.

Over 21.5 games - Karolina Muchova vs Tatjana Maria @ 10/11

After her victory over Inglis spilled into day two, Muchova faces Germany's Tatjana Maria next. This is going to be the first meeting between the pair so this has the makings to be an interesting contest.

Muchova knows that she will need to improve if she is to venture far in this tournament and there were times where she was able to get away with shots in the last round. She may take a different approach against Maria, who won in straight sets against Leylah Fernandez last time out.

This pairing suggests that three sets could be in store, and so I think that over 21.5 games makes for an attractive selection. Maria's encounter with Fernandez produced 21 games in total across two sets, while Muchova's victory over Inglis ended with 32 games played.

I think Muchova might be involved in another match that goes all the way, and I think both players have the quality to ensure that each set features a high volume of games.
