Roosters vs Sharks Prediction: 3/1 Price Boost pick has a Teddy try in Chooks win

The surging Cronulla Sharks take a four-game winning streak with them to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday when they face the Sydney Roosters in the NRL Premiership (6:15pm local, 9:15am BST, Sky Sports Action).
The Chooks have lost three of their last four, conceding 48 points last Friday in a chastening defeat to the Dolphins. Below are my Roosters vs Sharks predictions, along with the latest team news and match odds from Betfred.
Roosters vs Sharks Betting Tips
*odds correct at time of publishing
It’s difficult to split two sides locked on 20 points in the furious battle within the top eight of the ladder, but Betfred has nailed its colours to the mast in slating the Roosters as 4/7 favourites.
The Sharks are 6/4 to win in normal time, with the draw in 80 minutes 16/1.
Team News
There are a number of key names back in the mix for Easts, which perhaps explains their favouritism.
In come James Tedesco, Robert Toia, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Sam Walker, Reece Robson, Lindsay Collins and Victor Radley.
Daly Cherry-Evans moves back to six to allow Walker to play scrum-half, while Rex Bassingthwaighte, Connor Watson, Salesi Foketi and Spencer Leniu drop to the bench. Reece Foley and Hugo Savala are left out completely having started in the 48-10 loss last time up.
For the Sharks, there are far fewer alterations.
Addin Fonua-Blake, Mawene Hiroti and Briton Nikora return, with Billy Burns dropping to the bench and Toby Rudolf being out of the squad completely due to a knee injury.
Hohepa Puru and Jayden Berrell are cued up to switch places, with Berrell starting at nine and Puru coming off the interchange bench.
Roosters -4.5 & James Tedesco to Score a Try @ 5/2 3/1
After sitting out last Friday’s game due to Origin duty, Tedesco’s return is a big deal for the Roosters.
And the Chooks skipper could have a big say on which way this contest goes.
I’m with the bookies in that I think Sydney will win, and a ‘Teddy’ try in this Price Boost looks a fair bet.

Roosters by 1-12 @ 11/5
While I’m on the Roosters to win, I think the 6-12 bracket is where the most likely victory margin will be.
They should have a bit too much for Cronulla, but Craig Fitzgibbon’s side are very much in the fight for top-four consideration come the end of the season and the Roosters might not have seen the last of them in 2026.
