Winless London Broncos will see Sunday afternoon’s (15:00)visit of Huddersfield Giants as their best chance so far of securing that elusive first Betfred Super League win of the season.

The Giants though will be buoyed by having won two of their last three games, hitting a half century of points in each, hinting that we could be in for a score frenzy in the capital.

London Broncos vs Huddersfield Giants Betting Tips

  • Huddersfield Giants 21-25 points @ 13/2
  • First Half Handicap – Huddersfield Giants -11.5 @ 4/5

Team News

London have two of their three loan players available, with Jacob Jones and Reiss Butterworth both named in the squad, but Fenton Rogers is unavailable for selection against his parent club.

Jack Hughes came through his debut with no ill-effects and will continue in the side.

Huddersfield have won just two of their five games so far and are forced into a few changes with Matty English and the versatile Adam Milner both missing out. The pair are replaced by prop Luke Yates and Fenton Rogers for the trip to the capital.

Match Odds

London Broncos are 11/1 to pick up their first win of the campaign. Huddersfield Giants 1/33 to take the victory and a tie can be backed at 28/1.

Huddersfield Giants 21-25 points @ 13/2

Huddersfield have a phenomenal record against London and have won their last 15 Super League contests - usually by at least 20 points. The Broncos last beat the Giants 16 years ago and although I don’t expect them to win here, I would be surprised if they don’t mount a fiercer challenge than we have seen in their previous games this year – with the exception of the near-miss at Hull FC.

I am going for an away win, and probably a sizeable one – Huddersfield know how to score points and will be licking their lips at the prospect of playing the league’s leakiest defence, but I’m going for the home side to keep it vaguely respectable.

First Half Handicap – Huddersfield Giants -11.5 @ 4/5

It is tough to find much value elsewhere around London this season, given in all likelihood they will go the length of the campaign without a win.

So if we expect Ian Watson’s side to win both halves, it doesn’t appear a bad shout to see a two-score lead at half-time.
