NAP of the Day: Jazz can strike the right note at Redcar

On a busy Monday, there are six meetings taking place and it's Flat racing all the way with meetings on the turf at Carlisle, Lingfield, Redcar, Roscommon and Windsor, joined by the all-weather meeting at Wolverhampton.
Monday's NAP of the Day has twice knocked on the door recently for trainer Richard Fahey and looks ready to win again.
Oisin Orr has a healthy strike-rate at Redcar with 15 winners from 97 starts for a 15.5 per-cent win ratio.
The Irish pilot could land another for his boss Richard Fahey on board UP THE JAZZ in the Marske Fabrication & Engineering Straight Mile Handicap at the Yorkshire seaside venue.
The Buratino gelding is a consistent sort, with good form in the book at trips ranging from 7f to 1m2f.
He hasn't been able to put his head in front since a November 2024 Wolverhampton win over 1m1½ on the Tapeta but recent signs suggest his turn is approaching again.
He was a half-length second at Ripon (1m, good) last month and has gone even closer since when third at Leicester (1m, good to firm) nine days ago.
He found his path blocked at a crucial stage in that contest as things began to get serious and was briefly shuffled back to last of the nine-runner field.
He eventually got out widest of all and rattled home fast, denied a nose and a neck behind the front pair.
He was drawn widest in that race and had little alternative but to sit and wait. This time Up The Jazz has got stall one and a pair of first-time cheekpieces are deployed in a bid to get back in the winners' circle.
Stable jockey Orr returns in the saddle now and that Leicester effort was a big hint that he can hit a winning note again soon.
Betfred are paying FOUR places in his contest and Up The Jazz should be in the shake up.
