NAP of the Day: Fruity filly catches our eye in the West Midlands, Friday

Thursday's selection followed a similar pattern to that of the previous day - heavily backed, but ultimately a disappointment in the run. Undaunted we travel to Dunstall Park Wolverhampton for one of their Tapeta gatherings; a seven-race card that kicks in at 14:13.
The race I'm most intrigued by is the finale, the 17:35, a 7f Class 4 handicap for three-year-olds.

Our selection is a three-year-old Havana Gold filly out of a Cityscape mare. She's trained by Middleham handler Ed Bethell, and has two victories to her name from six starts.
She won twice at two; novice contests at Chelmsford and Newcastle. She reappeared in June and has had another three runs, two in handicaps and last time a fine effort in a Listed affair at Carlisle.
It was a £40k-to-the-winner heat at today's 7f trip and Applesandpears operated in midfield throughout and never landed a telling blow, going down by 4.5l.
The run that preceded that was also at Carlisle, a Class 3 handicap worth £16k, and she was beaten three-quarters-of-a-length. She's dropping in class today to a '4,' and this test would be nothing remotely comparable to a tough old pull up that hill to the line in Cumbria.
Two all-weather wins already point to her efficacy on the surface, and Newcastle employs the same Tapeta compound found here at Wolves. This looks like a superb winning opportunity and the vastly-experienced Rob Hornby has been booked to ride.
Ed's bringing three to the track and Dylan Hogan rides one (Zarinca, as he has in the past), while Rob is on the other two (a first sit on our NAP selection, plus Cabrera, again for the first time).
I like this filly's chances a lot and as I write she's a very respectable price!
