Nap of the Day: Third time lucky for Three In A Row?

Jumps action holds sway on Sunday afternoon through a trio of jumps meetings either side of the Irish Sea, with the action coming from Naas, Fontwell and Hereford. There’s Graded/Listed action at Naas and a particularly interesting finale in which J P McManus has a host of nice prospects for the Listed Novice Handicap Chase.
The Nap of the Day comes in that contest and it’s a horse that is bidding to get his first chase win on the board having hit the crossbar on his last two outings.

There are several nice prospects in the final race of seven coming up at Naas on Sunday, several of them owned by J P McManus and while Mark Walsh presumably had the pick and has opted for Goraibhmaithagat, there could be a bit of value in one of his ownermates.
THREE IN A ROW is the one that makes most appeal. This son of Flemensfirth is 0-9 over fences but there have been clear signs that he should soon be ready to get his head in front in his last couple of outings, beaten a short head in a competitive handicap chase at Punchestown before finding one too good over this course and distance last month.
This eight-year-old is well suited to testing ground over the intermediate trip, as highlighted by his sole hurdle win when successful at this venue, and he had a bit too much to do when making up a lot of ground from rear last time out.
A 1lb rise could be lenient for that effort and he is the type that gives the impression he will really benefit from headgear, so first-time cheekpieces could be a source of improvement.
With more experience over the larger obstacles than most of his rivals, Three In A Row looks like a major player in this contest, particularly from an each-way perspective with Betfred offering four places on the race.
