16:25 Limerick Odds

LENJOLEUR DE PALMA is the horse in question who contests this novice handicap hurdle over a 1m71/2f trip with eight other rivals on Tuesday at Limerick. The five-year-old gelding's past three rides have come at this course over 2m.

He has posted 312 form on his last three starts, with the latest coming on December 29. His victory in November saw him get off the mark at the eighth attempt and the showings on either side of that victory should have given connections confidence that he is not too far away from nailing down some consistency.

The son of Born To Sea is a strong contender in this field and arguably holds leading claims based on current forms. After over a month out, it will be interesting to see how he fares, but his return coming at a place he has fared well at on his previous three appearances should serve him well on Tuesday.

Lenjoleur De Palma's victory here back in November came over heavy ground conditions. He stormed to the post comfortably by eight lengths to defeat runner-up Onefortheditch.

The current weather forecast for Tuesday indicates rain and so conditions could be looking optimal for him to enjoy more success in V94.

Some may think the stars are aligning for history to repeat itself as Patrick O'Brien, who was on board for Lenjoleur De Palma's maiden victory, is booked for Tuesday's ride, which only strengthens his bid.

The gelding has shown that his last two intervals between races have not impacted his rhythm, so I am expecting a strong performance from him on Tuesday and I am feeling confident about this particular Nap.
