Lucky 15 Tips: Rossa’s the man for Lingers on Thursday

Great pity that Hexham's card was cancelled courtesy of the snowfall yesterday, as our Lucky 15 tips were due to run there. Pragmatism suggests that venturing further south is a sensible plan for Thursday, and the 'all-weather' element might be an idea, too - so we're off to Lingfield for NINE flat contests on their Polytrack surface.
Rossa Ryan has got some good-looking rides and it will surprise precisely no-one if he's amongst the winners in Surrey. Here we go then - and if you're playing, enjoy the sport and most importantly have fun.

13:20 - Aramis Grey @ 13/8
It's Rossa Ryan-time in terms of our Lucky 15 - I can see him having a field day if he gets a fair shake with luck in running, etc - and this veteran eight-year-old handicap sprinter can get our mutual ball rolling.
Jack Jones' Aramis Grey is a mare with a very respectable 10-from-63 career record, and off a mark of 84 has gone close (3rd) the last twice (both in October; at Newcastle and Chelmsford).
I'm a bit surprised, and I'm sure connections are delighted, to see her drop a pound down to 83 for this. Rossa nearly won on her back in April at Newcastle beaten half-a-length, and the booking looks a very significant one to me.
She's in form, looks decently handicapped, is a course-and-distance scorer, and wins apart tends to go extremely well here in general.
13:55 - Fairy Glen @ 7/2
Listed action now, and a four-year-old daughter of Farhh trained by the Crisfords.
Fairy Glen has two wins from her eight starts so is pretty lightly-raced. After running at Bath in October 2024 she didn't reappear until September 2025; and has had one further outing, of great interest form-wise, as 42 days ago she produced just about a career best back at Bath in a Listed heat, beaten half-a-length out of 13 runners.
This looks like a perfectly-timed assignment, and she's won on the all-weather before. The excellent Harry Davies is doing the steering.
14:30 - Shuwari @ 11/4
Back to Rossa - and our G1-winning star rides the four-year-old New Bay filly Shuwari for the Sangsters.
An outstanding three wins from eight starts, and last seen at Donny at the Betfred St Leger meeting 6l behind Fair Angellica in a G3. Calmer waters now for a Listed test, again at a mile, and on official marks she's best in here.
Trainer Ollie had a winner at Wolves the other day and the horse gets Ryan up top for the first time. Huge chance.
15:40 - Diomed Spirit @ 13/2
Guess who's in the saddle for this one? Yes, the man with 150+ winners this calendar year, and with the prospect of several more before December is done.
Diomed Spirit represents shrewd trainer Stuart Williams, and Rossa knows the horse from a couple of previous assignments. The selection is a five-year-old gelding with five wins from 26 starts, and is slipping into very tempting territory handicap-wise.
He's off 75 today and has experience of Lingfield. The 5f trip should be fine - he's had an occasional dalliance with 6f - and after a never-dangerous Brighton outing 52 days ago, claimer-ridden, he should be primed nicely for this.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £400 for a £7.50 total stake.
