Lucky 15 Tips: Rhythm can find the right groove at Carlisle

The racing on Monday, the eve of Royal Ascot, mightn't be of the highest quality, but it is competitive which is good for Lucky 15 tips.
I've selected my four, including a progressive Charlie Johnston horse at Carlisle.

15:20 Carlisle - So Alex @ 5/1
This looks like a fairly open race and there could be more to come from Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole’s SO ALEX.
The four-year-old remains lightly raced, especially on turf and this looks like a good opportunity to earn a first career victory on the grass.
He was a comfortable winner of a 1m4f handicap at Wolverhampton back in November and he pulled clear to score by two-and-a-quarter lengths under Billy Loughnane. A 5lb rise made no difference whatsoever, as he managed to follow up in equally comfortable fashion.
Second at Ripon on his return from a break last month, he’s entitled to improve for that run and should be going close off the same mark here.
15:30 Chepstow - Sonic Si @ 2/1
It has been a good couple of seasons for the Tony Carroll yard and his runner SONIC SI managed to shed his maiden tag at the 14th time of asking at Nottingham last time out.
Rossa Ryan was also on board that day and the pair won with plenty in hand. Very strong at the finish, they kicked two lengths clear at the line and the handicapper has put him up 7lb as a result.
Whilst it’s possible that he might need to improve in order to follow up, that confidence-boosting success can be built upon and he’s worth keeping on side.
16:23 Carlisle - Velvet Rhythm @ 5/1
There’s one standout contender in this race and it’s hard to look past the progressive and consistent VELVET RHYTHM. Representing the Charlie Johnston yard, she began the season with back-to-back victories and could have even more up her sleeve.
It’s worth noting that she now has a 50 per cent record on turf and kicked off the campaign with a game victory at Newmarket in May. The handicapper didn’t overreact but a 3lb rise wasn’t enough to prevent the follow up and the run may well have come too soon last time.
She deserves another chance off this mark and it would be no surprise to see her return to winning ways, now back down to a flat 7f.
21:00 Windsor - Ziggy's Avenger @ 2/1
Michael Bell’s ZIGGY’S AVENGER struggled somewhat in maiden and novice company but took a big step forwards to finish a fair third on handicap debut at Kempton. It’s no surprise that he was much more fancied in the market and it was a promising display.
Going off as favourite at Ripon last time out, he clearly learnt plenty from his previous performance and progressed again, getting off the mark comfortably in the end. A 4lb rise seems very fair and it could be a while before the handicapper catches up.
If all selections win at the listed prices, a 50p win Lucky 15 would return at least £391.50 for a total £7.50 stake.
