Cheltenham Day 2 Lucky 15 Tips: The fearsome Festival foursome!

It's Day 2 of the Cheltenham Festival, and another chance to suggest some Lucky 15 tips to proverbially go to war with!
Action kicks in for the seven-race card at 13:20, with the first six contests covered on ITV. Lossiemouth was the highpoint heroine for us yesterday - what will today hold in store I wonder?
Enjoy!

Our in-house Horse Racing tipster Owen McMahon has gone through the card for Wednesday's Races and made a selection for every race. Read who he's backing and why with our Cheltenham Day 2 Tips. Add to that former Jockey Katie Walsh has passed on her Cheltenham Wednesday Tips to us here at Betfred.
14:00 - Wendigo @ 7/1
Around 16 are expected to line up for this Brown Advisory test over 3m 1f, and I'm siding with Jamie Snowden's seven-year-old gelding Wendigo.
I've previewed this one in some detail and if you'd care to read it kindly click HERE.
14:40 - Iberico Lord @ 9/1
2m 5f now for classy handicap hurdlers, and a really big field - a maximum of 24 looks on the cards.
Our selection is a JP McManus-owned eight-year-old gelding with a six-from-17 lifetime record. Iberico Lord has run the vast majority of his races at around the minimum trip and he's won one of two chases he's contested, too - but last time 60 days ago at Kempton in the Lanzarote over this trip he absolutely bolted up, to make us all sit up and take notice.
Trainer Nicky Henderson's representative said that the step up in trip was evidently appreciated in contributing to the win, at odds of 22/1, and it seems they've duly put him away and waited for this; for which he's been raised, unsurprisingly, 8lb.
With a racing weight of 11st 3lb that's not bad at all in the context of this though, and he was rated in this ball-park area in late 2024/early 2025, when his form wasn't in all fairness quite equal to it.
Having subsequently slipped down then he's back up to previous levels, and with seemingly a new spring in his step at this trip there could well be more to come. Nice bit of value, too.
15:20 - Favori De Champdou @ 5/2
I've tipped Gordon Elliott in the Trainer's title stakes (betting without Willie Mullins) for this meeting, so something like his Favori De Champdou could help enormously by obliging in the iconic Cross Country Chase, over 3m 5.5f.
Our selection is an 11-year-old Gigginstown Stud-owned entrant with a touch of class, second-top rated up at 157. Importantly he's had a good look at this terrain, cosily obliging readily over the trip back in January.
Rival Stumptown bids to go back-to-back, but our hope gets 5lb from the champ which could be crucial. Jack Kennedy has the riding assignment for us, and he was also in the plate last time out.
This quirky race is a great spectacle, arguably not everyone's cup of tea, but when you think it's been good enough for the likes of Tiger Roll who are we to argue?
16:00 - Majborough @ 5/6
The Queen Mother Champion two-mile chase; a fascinating and absolutely top-drawer heat that I've previewed in some detail in an accompanying piece and I'm keen on the chances of Majborough, the class horse of the race for me but not remotely bomb-proof in the jumping department.
This is another potential JP McManus winner, this time for trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Mark Walsh, and if you'd care to read my thoughts about the 'mere' six-year-old prodigy then kindly click HERE.
Thank you.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £630 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
