Katie Walsh’s Cheltenham Wednesday Day 2 Tips: Maj the NAP on Day 2

The Cheltenham Festival is beginning to take shape on Wednesday, and former top jockey Katie Walsh is back with her day 2 insights, having tipped two out of three winners on day 1.
A Festival winner during her time in the saddle, Katie combines first-hand experience with sharp race reading, when assessing the week’s biggest contests for us.
Wednesday’s card is highlighted by the Queen Mother Champion Chase, and Katie shares her selections and offers insight into how she sees each race unfold in her Cheltenham Festival Day 2 tips.
Katie Walsh Cheltenham Day 2 Tips
- NAP 16:00 Majborough @ 5/6
- NB 15:20 Favori De Champdou @ 5/2
- 13:20 Ballyfad @ 10/1
- 14:00 Western Fold each-way @ 12/1
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
NAP 16:00 Majborough @ 5/6
Majborough in my opinion is as close as you can get to a certainty at the Festival. He bucks out and makes all and was excellent round Leopardstown last time out, when demolishing Marine Nationale and Found A Fifty.
I think he wins for sure on Wednesday and it will be absolutely super for Mark Walsh.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
NB 15:20 Favori De Champdou @ 5/2
He possibly looks too short here but I still think Favori De Champdou wins here for Gordon Elliott.
The 11-year-old looked brilliant in the Paddy Power and then won over the cross country fences here again in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase in January.
Favori De Champdou is the class horse in the field and I expect him to come over the line first on Wednesday.

13:20 Ballyfad @ 10/1
Another Gordon Elliott-trained one is my next fancy in the Turners, in the shape of Ballyfad.
After a close loss to Talk The Talk last month, he moves up in trip to 2m 5f and Jack's (Kennedy) picked him for this one.
Ballyfad gallops and stays on and I think it's coming home here...
Odds correct at time of publishing.
14:00 Western Fold each-way @ 12/1
We finish with another runner for Gordon in the Brown Advisory. Western Fold won the Galway Plate as a Novice and should love the ground here.
The 7-year-old performed well in the last two Grade 1 contests and should provide us with a great bit of value here.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
