There are four meetings on Tuesday including an all-weather meeting on Newcastle’s Tapeta surface in the evening and another Flat card from the north at Catterick.

There are also two jumps cards taking place in Wales from Chepstow and Bangor-on-Dee and we’ve picked out our Lucky 15 tips for Tuesday’s action including an eye-catcher from last time out.

Lucky 15 Betting Tips - Tuesday, October 29

  • 14:12 Catterick - Beltane @ 9/1
  • 14:47 Catterick - Tarbat Ness @ 11/4
  • 15:22 Catterick - Count d'Orsay @ 13/2
  • 18:00 Newcastle - Mereside Madness @ 9/2

14:12 Catterick - Beltane @ 9/1

The ground is likely to be on the testing side at Catterick on Tuesday and that should really suit Beltane who has been shaping like his turn may be near again in a few of his recent runs.

His effort over this course and distance last time out is worth forgiving, having not been seen to best effect from off the pace, but he came in for some significant market support that day and his previous run, also over course and distance, suggested he’s ready to score again.

He’s at his best when positioned prominently, so the inside stall should be in his favour and he’s dropped down to his lowest ever handicap mark, despite some creditable efforts in defeat this term.

14:47 Catterick - Tarbat Ness @ 11/4

Tarbat Ness is another one who is going to relish an ease in the ground at Catterick on Tuesday.

The son of Reliable Man has hit the frame no fewer than five times this term and he’s run into a couple of well handicapped sorts in his last couple of starts, including a course and distance second at the start of the month.

Gina Mangan seems to get on well with him, having finished runner-up both times she’s ridden him, so there should be a decent pace to aim at in this 10-runner field, something that the gelding seems to relish.

15:22 Catterick - Count d'Orsay @ 13/2

There was plenty to like about Count d’Orsay’s recent victory over this course and distance under a positive ride from the talented Sean Kirrane and the pair look capable of going in again with just a 2lb higher handicap mark to work with here.

Tim Easterby’s son of Dandy Man is highly effective with cut in the ground and he’s representing a yard who are really hitting form as the season comes to a close, with nine winners in the last fortnight.

This eight-year-old is still really well treated on old form and can go in again if his rider can get a decent position around the bend from stall four.

18:00 Newcastle - Mereside Madness @ 9/2

Mereside Madness missed the kick when a close up fourth at this venue last time, but looks capable of getting his head back in front from his reduced handicap mark.

He’s at his best over this course and distance, as seen when winning twice at the turn of the year and he seems to love an artificial surface having gone close at Chelmsford not so long ago.

He gets the services of Callum Rodriguez who both rides Newcastle well and arrives in excellent form with a 20 per cent strike-rate since the middle of the month and the combination look capable of going close in the North East on Tuesday evening.

As a guide, a £0.25p each-way Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £816 for your total £7.50 stake.
