Lucky 15 Tips: Top jocks tussle at Warwick on Thursday

There's a good-looking seven-race card at Warwick on Thursday, and that's where we'll motor for our Lucky 15 tips. I've enjoyed several days at the track down the years and many Cheltenham hopefuls have the course on their to-do list in terms of Festival preparation, given what many see as the similarities between the two - not that you could ever replicate jumping HQ.
Warwick is a left-hand track, has challenging contours, and it's a stiff pull to the line - definite echoes of Prestbury Park. Racing kicks in at 12:25, with both Sean Bowen and Harry Skelton in action.

12:25 - Made U Blush @ 5/4
Dan Skelton trains about 16 miles away in Alcester, so any runners sent here are of even greater significance as it's something of a home fixture.
His three-year-old filly by Derby winner Masar, Made U Blush, out of an Exceed And Excel mare, comes to the team from the flat where she stayed ten furlongs nicely and won last time out, 51 days ago.
She's rated only 77 on the level but now she's with arguably the country's top jumps yard you'd like to think success over timber too is well within compass. Given that gorgeous pedigree and the Brothers Skelton influence she'll probably be a warm order for this 2m juvenile maiden, and I'm hoping for a big performance.
12:55 - Moneygarrow @ 2/1
We're with the brothers once again, but this time on the opposite end of the experience spectrum.
Moneygarrow is a five-year-old gelding by a St Leger winner and in a career blighted by breaks is as a consequence very lightly-raced, winning one from five starts so far; plus a point on debut in April 2024.
He's talented - putting up a fine effort at Cheltenham when last seen 51 days ago, beaten only 7+l in a G2 for novices, after which he had a wind procedure.
This 2m 5f maiden looks a warm one, with several top yards engaged, and will doubtless be highly informative going forward.
14:25 - Swinging London @ 11/2
Derbyshire trainer John Mackie, who had a winner on the flat at Lingfield a week ago, saddles seven-year-old dual purpose Dark Angel gelding Swinging London - and claimer Jack Andrews takes off a handy 3lb in the saddle.
The selection was second, beaten a head, at Leicester 24 days ago (2m) and steps up in trip markedly today (2m 5f). He did ok at around this distance when trying it for the only time thus far at Uttoxeter in September, and he'd been in pretty good order on the flat immediately prior to that Leicester spin, including a win at Newcastle in October.
For me he represents a horse in form at, as I write, a value price.
14:55 - Jupiter Des Bordes @ 11/2
A 3m handicap chase, and a six-year-old French-bred gelding trained in Gloucestershire by Richard Hobson.
Jupiter Des Bordes joined Richard from France in January and in five runs over fences for new connections has yet to open his UK account. He has however shown plenty of promise and consistency, finishing third at Wetherby last time for example 26 days ago, running on.
Warwick is a much stiffer test and could suit nicely - back in February he was beaten 5l here over 2m 4f but has more experience now. Excellent 5lb apprentice/conditional Charlie Maggs has the leg up, as at Wetherby, and the horse has even been dropped a pound in the handicap.
Last time was a conditionals' race so Charlie couldn't claim - but he can this afternoon. Could be crucial.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £365 for a £7.50 total stake.
