King George V Stakes Tips: Nautical Force can sail to success

A field of 19 three-year-olds are set to go to post for the King George V Stakes and the middle-distance handicap is full of unexposed horses.
We take three big-priced selections against the field in what should be a cracking contest.

Nautical Force each-way @ 25/1
Betfred offer five places on each-way bets in the King George V Stakes and it could pay to take advantage of that concession with a trio of wages.
Johnny Murtagh is no stranger to Royal Ascot success once as a jockey and now a trainer and the Irish handler could score with Nautical Force.
The three-year-old makes his handicap debut off a mark of 94 following a maiden win at Cork and a good second-place finish in a valuable contest at Roscommon last time out.
The most recent effort left the impression that there was more to come from Nautical Force and that Murtagh’s charge would benefit from a step up in trip.
Fast conditions look ideal for the son of Ghaiyyath and there would be no surprise if Nautical Force ran a career best in the King George V Stakes.

Daiquiri Bay each-way @ 20/1
Daiquiri Bay looks a horse almost certainly to be suited by the move to one-mile-and-four-furlongs with the three-year-old’s dam, Strawberry Martini, a winner up to two miles on the flat.
Alan King’s runner bolted up in a maiden at Chester, before narrowly denied under a penalty in a novice contest at Doncaster. However, the son of New Bay was beaten by a progressive horse of Andrew Balding’s at Donny and Daiquiri Bay looked to be crying out for an increase in distance.
The new trip in the King George V Stakes could see more improvement from Daiquiri Bay and, at 20/1, he looks worth an each-way play.

Grecian Legacy each-way @ 25/1
Grecian Legacy made smooth progress from the back of the field to score in impressive style at Goodwood two starts ago, before being beaten a neck in his bid to follow up at Epsom 12 days ago.
The overwhelming feeling from those two runs was one of progression and Daniel & Claire Kubler’s charge may have been dismissed too readily by the prices.
Perhaps, there are runners in opposition with a little more potential, but Grecian Legacy has shown improvement from run to run and there looks every chance of the three-year-old running another big race.
