Jersey Stakes 2025 Tips: 6/1 chance capable of big performance

The Jersey Stakes is a Group 3 contest run over 7f, and this year's edition takes place at 16:20 on Saturday, June 21.

A field of 15 runners are set to go to post on Saturday, and below you can find my Jersey Stakes 2025 tip.

At 6/1, I think the Joseph O'Brien-trained Saracen represents decent value on Saturday at Royal Ascot.

Granted, he's still unexposed after just two starts, but he could improve enough to take the Jersey Stakes, and also doesn't look a bad each-way pick either as Betfred are paying four places (1/5 Odds) on this race.

The winner of a Curragh maiden on his debut in October, the son of Siyouni was pitched into the Greenham at Newbury in April on his only other start and did himself proud, finishing in third behind Jonquil and Rashabar.

Jonquil has since gone on to finish second in the French Guineas, while the latter secured fourth-placed finishes earlier this week in both the Irish Guineas and St James' Palace Stakes.

The two-month break between runs should also suit our selection here, and considering this is only a Group 3 contest, there could be plenty more to come from the three-year-old.

Remoooz, the current 10/3 favourite at the time of writing, appears to be our main threat in my opinion, and he's looking to preserve a perfect two-from-two record up in class.

He won on his debut at Doncaster on quick ground, and put in a brilliant performance in his second run at Town Moor, in a race he absolutely breezed through to win by three lengths.

Comanche Brave (4/1) is the another runner currently above Saracen in the betting, and his run behind Henri Matisse at Leopardstown back in March was pretty solid. Can he repeat that on Saturday? Potentially - especially with Ryan Moore on board.

However, I'm still siding with Saracen who can certainly come forward after his run at Newbury.
