Horse Racing Tips: Back Toralou to gain first win at Musselburgh

Flat racing holds sway in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday with four meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
First off is Ripon before they go at Musselburgh, while Lingfield and Bellewstown host the evening action. Amongst our Tuesday fancies is one for trainer Mark Loughnane who deserves a first entry into the winner's enclosure and has found the perfect opportunity to do so. Read on for our Horse Racing Tips for Tuesday.
Horse Racing Tips - Tuesday, August 26

- 17:25 Bellewstown - The Bog Bank @ 20/1
- 19:10 Lingfield - Flag Carrier @ 11/2

14:20 Musselburgh - Toralou @ 6/5
The best bet of the day runs in the opening 1m maiden at Musselburgh as Toralou bids to make it seventh time lucky for trainer Mark Loughnane, with Joe Leavy doing the steering for the first time.
A four-year-old U S Navy Flag filly, she showed lots of promise when narrowly touched off by subsequent three-time Group 3 winner Great Generation on her debut at Haydock in the summer of 2023.
She clearly had her issues after that as she was off the track for the best part of a year and a half, but she hit the frame once again when with David O'Meara before being moved onto this stable a couple of months ago.
Toralou has filled the runner-up spot on both starts for Loughnane in handicap company, her latest when staying on well at Ffos Las to be beaten by a neck.
This looks much like a much easier task and she can finally get off the mark.

17:25 Bellewstown - The Bog Bank @ 20/1
The Bog Bank ran much better than her finishing position would suggest when 11th of 21 over 1m at the Curragh when last seen, as she was drawn on the wrong side of the track on the day and she did finish second out of those drawn in double-digit draws.
Now returning to her beloved Bellewstown, the scene of four course and distance victories, she has to be taken seriously and she is likely to be an attractive each-way price off the back of a couple of blemishes on the form book.
She was sent off favourite for an apprentice handicap on this very card last year and duly obliged off a mark of 60, the very same mark she runs off here.
It will be no surprise to see money come for her.

19:10 Lingfield - Flag Carrier @ 11/2
Our final bet of the day runs in the 7f handicap at Lingfield and it represents a golden opportunity for Brian Toomey's Flag Carrier to continue his fine recent form and gain a second victory from his last four starts.
A good winner at Chelmsford off a mark of 65 back in March, he came back from a short break to hit the woodwork twice at Doncaster and Salisbury, bumping into a runaway winner when last seen.
A larger field should suit his hold-up style here and a return to the all-weather should also suit. He should go close here.
