14:35 Warwick - Sinnatra @ 1/4

Sinnatra has been running very well this season but has arguably not got the rewards he deserves. Two narrow second places to start the campaign highlighted that, although they were supplemented by a dominant 55-length win at Sandown last month.

He followed that up with a slightly disappointing third at Huntingdon a fortnight ago. Stepping up in Listed company he led for the majority of that race, but could not keep his momentum up and faded two from home.

It was a hotly contested race, however, and has thrown up some smart types in recent years, so there is no shame in his efforts that day.

Friday’s run at Warwick represents a big step down in class, meaning he is now the one to beat and should have no problem in these calmer waters.

16:15 Exeter - Coolkatie @ 7/2

Coolkatie has shown glimpses of promise in her three career runs so far, but has not yet found her way into the placings.

Despite showing signs of greenness she finished a respectable fourth on her racecourse debut, jumping reasonably well and making some good headway in the closing stages but was unable to catch the leaders.

She was stepped up in trip for her next outing, but that did not go to plan as she appeared to tire two from home before falling at the last.

Dan Skelton’s mare was then dropped back in trip when last seen at Ayr, and although she finished some way back, it was a reasonable effort and one she can definitely build upon.

Coolkatie looks as though she has ability at this level and now needs to put it all together, with a few runs under her belt, she has a solid chance to get off the mark at Exeter on Friday.
