Horse Racing Tips: Double Meaning can go back-to-back

Flat racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Thursday, with five meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
Amongst our fancies is one for trainer John Berry, who impressed on his recent start at 1m6f and remains unexposed at the longer trips. Below you can find our Horse Racing Tips for Thursday.

15:20 Southwell - Urban Dandy @ 3/1
A former course and distance winner, URBAN DANDY, could thrive on a return to Southwell for Tony Coyle & Kaine Wood.
This Dandy Man gelding won here when a three-year-old after returning from a break. Similarly, the same challenge faces him on Thursday, as he hasn't been since April.
On his last start, he finished a close second at Newcastle. That form has been franked since, as the winner that day was last seen finishing a close second in a grade-higher handicap at Newmarket.
Coming back from a break should freshen him up, and he could prove too challenging to peg back.

16:10 Lingfield - Double Meaning @ 4/9
John Berry's gelding, DOUBLE MEANING, has improved drastically since being upped in trip and looks set to thrive at Lingfield.
He's been gradually upped in trip in three runs so far for John Berry, and in each of them, improvement has been consistent.
On his penultimate run at 1m4f, he stayed on well inside the final two furlongs. But everything came together in his last run at 1m6f, where he stormed home to score by 10 lengths.
This trip is an additional two furlongs, but that will not be an issue, and he looks like he will relish it. He is an unexposed stayer and is also 6lb well in here, and there should be much more improvement to come.

16:37 Haydock - Albany @ 9/2
There's a lot to like about the chances of the Ralph Beckett-trained mare ALBANY at Haydock.
On her last start at York, she travelled powerfully throughout and kicked on inside the final two furlongs.
The mare was unlucky not to win that day as she was just headed on the line. She was beaten by a gelding, who has since franked the form by winning his next two starts, including a highly competitive handicap in the Racing League.
The five-year-old drops down in trip and is back in calmer waters against her own sex.
She should therefore be able to resume her progress, and it would be hard to kick her out of the frame.
