1 pt 15:01 Hove – Punk Rock Picard (T4) @ SP

Three from the Nevill Road circuit Hove this afternoon on an ultra-competitive all-graded card.

At 15:01, look out for PUNK ROCK PICARD, who looks well-drawn in T4 to lead round and make all in A7 grade over the four-bend 500-metre trip. The Stuart Maplesden-trained July 2022 son of Magical Bale is a 30.10 type of performer when he gets it right at the boxes and a repeat of that would make him very hard to beat this afternoon.

Yougo Laddie in T2 looks likely to challenge into the first bend, so it's imperative that Picard traps well and clears that rival at lid rise. Ower Smasher will be staying on well from T1, as will Leslies King from T5.

Both enter calculations as forecast options in the race. Solo wide seed Punkrockrhapsody (T6) is three from 10 in the grade and has claims with a ping break.

15:01 Hove - Winner

1 pt 17:12 Hove – Sly Ash (T5) @ SP

The A10 graded race at 17:12 can go to SLY ASH, who lines up from T5 for trainer Stuart Maplesden. In recent weeks, Sly Ash has bounced between A8, A9 and A10 company winning two of his last three in this A10 grade.

This afternoon, the February 2023 son of Burgess Bucks looks likely to turn mid-pack and, if that happens, it's race on. The key to the race will be what happens at the third bend. Sly Ash will be making his move at that point, so it's vital he avoids a bump and hits the front.

Punk Rock Willow (T1) and Chisem Mayura (T2) look the likely leaders along with Chisem Mike in T4. They look likely to battle down the back straight and this could be set up for Sly Ash to swoop late on and claim yet another A10 victory for his connections.

17:12 Hove - Winner

1 pt 17:31 Hove – Chisem Henry (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Hove is CHISEM HENRY, who is looking to break his maiden tag at the ninth attempt. The Ricky Holloway-trained railer has caught the eye a number of times lately, staying on well and showing signs of inexperience.

This afternoon, from a plot draw on the rails, the July 2024 son of Scaglieti can turn handy and then make his move down the back straight. Monbeg Mystery (T4) and Ashwood Shelby (T6) look the likely leaders, but if Henry turns third and within striking distance its race on.

The key is holding the rails pitch into the first bend. It's imperative that Henry beats Sladeys Knight (T2) and Fwesh Julie Rose (T3) into the corner and gets first crack at the leaders.

17:31 Hove - Winner

Chisem Henry
