The weekend is here again, which can only mean that I am back to present my tips for the Premier League fixtures in store. Disappointingly, last week's predictions were once again 50% successful, with just two from my four tips coming in.

I'm still desperate for a clean sweep and I hope this will be the week that it can happen. Below I have detailed my weekend Premier League predictions, ranging from goalscorers to goalfests.

Weekend Premier League Tips

  • Jean-Philippe Mateta anytime scorer in Fulham vs Crystal Palace @ 7/4
  • Man United or draw and over 3.5 goals in Man United vs Burnley @ 23/20
  • Anthony Gordon anytime scorer in Newcastle United vs Sheffield United @ 13/10
  • Over 3.5 goals in Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal @ 6/5

Jean-Philippe Mateta anytime scorer in Fulham vs Crystal Palace @ 7/4

Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta has been a man-possessed since Oliver Glasner took over from Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park. The Frenchman has scored eight goals in nine Premier League matches and he is in the best form of his Palace career.

Mateta has scored braces in his last two outings against West Ham United and Newcastle United, and as he gears up for a trip to Fulham on Saturday, I'm confident that his midas touch in front of goal will continue.

Manchester United have an outside chance of finishing in the top five this season but they need to be making the most of their home games. After beating 20th-placed Sheffield United last time out, they will be fancying themselves to get a result against Burnley in 19th.

However, the Clarets can cause problems for the Red Devils just as the Blades did in midweek. Vincent Kompany, as a Manchester City legend, would love nothing better to take points from United as his team aims for a late dash at survival.

They are unbeaten in their last two matches, beating Sheffield United 4-1 last weekend, proving that they do carry an offensive threat. Up against a depleted United defence, there are goals in store for them, and they might just have the grit to get a result here.

Man United or draw and over 3.5 goals at 23/20 Anthony Gordon anytime scorer in Newcastle United vs Sheffield United @ 13/10

Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon has had an impressive season so far with 10 goals and eight assists in the league. In the final weeks of the season he will hoping to show England boss Gareth Southgate that he deserves a place in the squad for this summer's Euros in Germany. He will be relishing the chance to take on the worst defence in Premier League history this weekend, with the Blades having shipped 92 goals in 33 matches.

Nine of Gordon's goals this term have been on home soil. His one away goal came from, you guessed it, Bramall Lane, when Newcastle hammered the Blades 8-0 back in September. I'm expecting him to terrorise their defence once again.

Anthony Gordon anytime scorer at 13/10 Over 3.5 goals in Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal @ 6/5

Over 3.5 goals landed at the Emirates back in September in the last North London derby, and it has delivered in three of the last five in the Premier League. This season, 47% (15/32) of Spurs' matches in the league have seen this selection come in and for the Gunners it is slightly less at 44% (15/34).

With the attacking quality on both sides, I'm expecting a spectacular show of goals on Sunday.
