Torino and Lecce find themselves locked in mid-table in Serie A, but they prepare to meet at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Friday night in contrasting form.

Lecce have lost six of their last eight matches whereas Torino have fallen to just one defeat in their last 10 outings.

Serie A leaders Inter are the only side to have beaten the Bulls on their own patch this term, illustrating the size of the task facing Lecce on Friday evening.

Torino vs Lecce Prediction

  • Torino to win @ 8/11
  • Torino under 2.5 match goals & over 5.5 Torino corners @ 5/1

Team News

Torino's Adrien Tameze is suspended after collecting a fifth booking of the season at Sassuolo. Perr Schuurs and Alessandro Buongiorno are long-term absentees and they could be joined on the sidelines by Ange N'Guessan.

Lecce have reported a clean bill of health for their trip to Turin.

Match Odds

Torino are 8/11 to win, the draw is 12/5 and Lecce are 9/2 to claim the three points.

Torino to win @ 8/11

Serie A leaders Inter are the only side to have beaten Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino this season and Lecce seem unlikely to add their name to that select list.

Ivan Juric’s hosts have lost only one of their last ten matches, and although draws have held Torino back in the battle for European places, it has been a largely positive campaign for the club from Turin.

Torino were held to a 0-0 draw by Salernitana in their last home Serie A contest but they bossed proceedings, winning the shot count 8-3, the corner count 10-1 and had 67% possession.

Prior to that stalemate Torino had hammered Napoli 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and Lecce could be in big trouble.

The visitors were thumped 4-0 at Bologna last time out, their sixth defeats in eight matches, and Roberto D'Aversa men are yet to win on the road in Serie A this season.

Torino to win at 8-11

Torino to win, under 2.5 match goals & over 5.5 Torino corners @ 5/1

Torino look a solid match-betting proposition, which forms the first leg of our same-game #PickYourPunt bet.

Lecce have scored only one goal in their last five away matches while seven of Torino’s last nine matches have stayed under the 2.5-goal mark.

The hosts have conceded only six league goals at home this term, although they have scored just 12 themselves so backing there to be no more than two strikes on Friday seems prudent.

Finally, backing Torino to take at least six corners looks a wise wager.

They have registered 90 flag kicks in 13 league and cup outings at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino matches this season, an average of 6.2 per game, and they should get plenty of attacking opportunities against a struggling Lecce side.
