Team News
Sourou Kone continues to recover from a knee injury that has kept him out of action for the majority of 2026. He's not expected back for Hammarby until September.
In his absence, Markus Karlsson and Oscar Johansson Schellhas have been the main options in the midfield.
Thirty-five-year-old Nahir Besara continues to be a key creator for the hosts and he should have a role to play on Thursday.
Anderlecht may also look a little light in midfield as Mario Stroeykens is a doubt owing to a thigh issue.
New signings Lukas Ambros, Leo Petrot and Giulian Biancone will all be hoping for a good exercise in Stockholm.
Hammarby vs Anderlecht Predicted Lineups
- Hammarby: Hahn; Skoglund, Fofana, Winther, Persson; Schellhas, Karlsson, Madjed, Besara, Lind; Abraham
- Anderlecht: Coosemans; Vroninks, Biancone, Petrot, Augustinsson; Llansana, Kana, Ambros, Ojea, Onia Seke; Sikan
Hammarby have lost just once at home in 2026 and they are 6/5 to win this first leg.
The draw is priced at 12/5, while Anderlecht are a 7/4 bet to come away victorious.
Both teams have scored in each of the visitors' previous seven competitive matches, and BTTS - Yes is valued here at 4/7.
Hammarby vs Anderlecht Stats
- Hammarby have lost just one competitive home game in 2026 (W9 D2)
- Over 2.5 Goals has landed in 4 of the hosts' past 5 fixtures
- At least 3 goals have been scored in 5 of Anderlecht's previous 6 games
Match Result - Hammarby @ 6/5
With just one competitive home defeat in 2026, Hammarby are rightly the favourites to prevail here. Anderlecht will present an interesting test for the Swedish club, but it's one I think they'll overcome.
The visitors have looked sharp during pre-season but they're facing a team who are in the midst of their current campaign, so Hammarby's fitness levels should be far greater. I'm going for a home win, which is priced at 6/5 (implied probability of 45.5%).

Total Goals - Over 2.5 @ 8/11
I think goals will be the order of the day on Thursday given the attacking options both sides possess. Over 2.5 Goals looks a sensible selection as it has struck in three of Hammarby's last five fixtures.
Additionally, there have been at least three goals scored in five of Anderlecht's six most recent outings.

Hammarby vs Anderlecht Score Prediction
- Hammarby 2-1 Anderlecht
I think an interesting tussle awaits in Sweden. Anderlecht are still moving through the gears as it's pre-season, whereas Hammarby are right in the middle of their 2026 campaign. I think they'll edge this first leg.
