Both teams to score - Yes

Spain and Germany are two of the three remaining teams left in the competition (Switzerland are the third) that have scored in all four games at Euro 2024, and it's no surprise to see that they are the top two scorers.

Host nation Germany lead the way on 10 goals - half of their total coming in their opening game, a 5-1 victory over Scotland - while Spain boosted their tally to nine with a 4-1 win against Georgia in the last 16.

Three Germany players have scored at least two goals at the tournament, with Jamal Musiala (three) currently tied at the top in the Golden Boot charts and Kai Havertz and Niclas Fullkrug (both two) just behind.

Spain have shared their strikes around more, with only Fabian Ruiz (two) on multiple goals.

Germany have been great going forward but they have shown vulnerabilities at the back, despite keeping clean sheets against Hungary and Denmark. They can consider themselves fortunate not to have conceded in either, particularly in their last 16 tie with Denmark, whom they beat 2-0 after Joachim Andersen's controversial disallowed goal.

Spain, meanwhile, shut out each of Croatia, Italy and Albania in a faultless group stage where they collected maximum points, but they were given an early fright in the last 16 by Georgia who forced a Robin Le Normand own goal in the 18th minute.

Spain and Germany last met in November 2022 when they played out a 1-1 draw in the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, and it would be a surprise if both teams weren't on the scoresheet again on Friday given the attacking talent on either side.

Musiala has been the star of the show for Germany while Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal have dazzled on the wings for Spain.

Fabian Ruiz 2+ shots

Much was made of the importance of Alvara Morata heading into Euro 2024, but it's Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ruiz that has stolen the goalscoring headlines for La Roja.

Ruiz has struggled in France since joining from Napoli in the summer of 2022 and scored just once in Ligue 1 last season.

However, he already has two strikes to his name in Germany after netting against Croatia and Georgia. He was left out in Spain's third group game against Albania, so his two goals have come from just three outings in the competition.

The 28-year-old is averaging 3.7 shots per game and seems to be growing in confidence, having had one, three and seven shots respectively against Croatia, Italy and Georgia.

Six of his shots have been from outside the box, highlighting his ability to strike from anywhere, and that could be beneficial if Germany take the lead and bunker in late on.

I don't see Ruiz reaching the seven shots he fired against Georgia, but two is certainly achievable.

Toni Kroos 1+ shots

Germany's midfield maestro Toni Kroos continues to show his class as he bids to bow out with a first European Championship title.

More famed for pulling the strings in the middle, Kroos is also a danger from distance like Ruiz, though he is yet to score from his three efforts at goal in the tournament.

The 34-year-old registered a shot against each of Hungary, Switzerland and Denmark, and had one revoked against Scotland due to a penalty awarded in the build-up.

Kroos is likely to be the man entrusted with free-kicks, and that increases the likelihood of him taking a shot on Friday, while he may try his luck from distance in open play, particularly if a stubborn Spain side are in the lead.

Alvaro Morata 1+ fouls

Morata scored Spain's opening goal of Euro 2024 but has been unable to add to his tally since, firing blanks against each of Italy, Albania and Georgia.

What he has been consistent in, however, is giving fouls away. Morata's three starts in the competition have produced a combined seven fouls, two against each of Croatia and Italy, and three versus Georgia.

The 31-year-old averaged a foul per game for Atletico Madrid in La Liga last season and 1.5 in the Champions League, so he has form for giving free-kicks away.

Morata will be in direct contact with Germany centre-backs Antonio Rudiger and Jonathan Tah, who average 0.8 and 0.7 fouls drawn per game at Euro 2024.

Nico Schlotterbeck filled in for the suspended Tah against Denmark and was fouled once, with their starting striker - Rasmus Hojlund - making one foul. Switzerland and Hungary's starting centre-forwards - Breel Embolo and Barnabas Varga - also made a foul each against Germany.

Kai Havertz 1+ fouls

Another forward who has got amongst it this tournament is Germany's Havertz, who is averaging 1.2 fouls per game, slightly less than his Premier League average of 1.3 per game for Arsenal last season.

Havertz was even more combative in the Champions League (2.4 per game) and will look to unsettle the likes of Le Normand and Marc Cucurella on Friday, who have been fouled an average of 0.8 and two times per game respectively.
