Sevilla vs Cadiz

Cadiz head to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to face Sevilla on Wednesday evening (Premier Sports Player, 18:30) looking to continue their La Liga survival bid. They are 18th in the table and currently five points adrift of safety.

They picked up an important win over Getafe on home soil at the weekend and they will look to carry that momentum into this clash with Sevilla, who were beaten by Villarreal at the weekend but have won four of their last six. This will be a tough test for the visitors, as my Sevilla vs Cadiz predictions below would suggest.

Sevilla vs Cadiz Betting Tips

  • Sevilla -1 handicap @ 5/2
  • Youssef En-Nesyri anytime goalscorer @ 23/20

Sevilla vs Cadiz Odds

Sevilla are 9/10 to win this clash, which gives them a 52.6% chance of victory. Cadiz are priced at 16/5, giving them an implied probability of 23.8%. The draw can be backed at 5/2 (28.6%).

Both teams to score has landed in five of Sevilla's last seven La Liga fixtures on home soil and is valued at 4/5 to come in on this occasion. Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 10/11.

Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri has scored 15 goals in La Liga this term and he is 100/30 to open proceedings on Wednesday evening.

Team News

The hosts are still without Erik Lamela, Oliver Torres, Djibril Sow and Nemanja Gudelj due to injury. It also doesn't look like forward Isaac Romero will be available for selection either after missing the last two matches with a hamstring problem.

Quique Sanchez Flores will be boosted by the return of defender Loic Bade, however, after completing his suspension.

Cadiz are having to cope without the services of Rominigue Kouame, Luis Hernandez, Jorge Mere, Jose Mari and Fede San Emeterio due to injury. Aiham Ousou, on loan from Slavia Prague, is unlikely to make an appearance either due to an ankle issue that has seen him miss the last two matches.

Sevilla -1 handicap @ 5/2

Given that Cadiz have lost 16 of their 35 fixtures in La Liga this season, and they are facing a Sevilla side that has been in form of late despite the Villarreal loss, I like the look of backing the hosts with a -1 handicap.

In 11 of Cadiz's defeats this term, backing the opponent to win with a -1 handicap has proved to be a winning selection, and I can see it landing once again on Wednesday. Two of Sevilla's last four wins has seen them overcome a -1 handicap, too, which cannot be ignored.

With the quality in their ranks, I can see them winning this meeting quite comfortably. Especially when they boast striker En-Nesyri, who already has 15 goals to his name and will be looking to profit against the struggling Cadiz.

Sevilla -1 handicap at 5/2 Youssef En-Nesyri anytime goalscorer @ 23/20

He has been Sevilla's biggest goal threat this season so it is no surprise to see me back En-Nesyri to score again. I correctly tipped him to score, along with Alexander Sorloth at the weekend, and he ended up notching a brace in the defeat.

Although his side lost, he will head into his home clash full of confidence to take on a side that has won just one of their last five. He will once again play a starring role for Sevilla and I think that he will have another profitable evening in front of goal.
