There's three games taking place in the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, with two games from Group C being staged at the Stade Charles Konan Barry in Yamoussoukro. The headline game is at 8pm, where African powerhouses Senegal and Cameroon do battle. We've previewed the match and given you our betting predictions.

Senegal vs Cameroon Betting Tips

  • Senegal to win - 10/11
  • Lamine Camara to score - 18/5

Group C looks intriguingly poised with the two big guns of Senegal and Cameroon in the automatic qualification positions. However, their opening games couldn't really have gone any more differently, with current champions Senegal strolling to a 3-0 win over Gambia.

Meanwhile, Cameroon had to rely on a second half Frank Magri strike, following a Francois Kamano red card in first half injury time, in order to secure a point in their first match against Guinea.

There have been big questions asked about Rigobert Song's position in charge of the Indomitable Lions, primarily around his tactical nous and this sort of result won't have done him any favours.

Of course, if they can turn over the defending champs and shoot to the top of Group C, all will be good in the motherland of Cameroon.

Team news

The Lions of Teranga should remain unchanged for this one, after an impressive opening win, with Youssouf Sabaly, Seny Dieng and Boulaye Dia all still unavailable to Aliou Cisse through injury.

Cameroon could be tempted to rotate the side that drew with Guinea, although they cannot call on star veteran striker Vincent Aboubakar, who pulled up in training.

Match odds

Senegal come into this one as the big 10/11 favourites to make it two from two in their group games. Cameroon are out at 3/1 to pull off the upset, with the draw available at 2/1.

As with a lot of the Cup of Nations games, the traders expect this one to be a tight affair with under 2.5 goals priced at just 4/9. Both teams to score - No is also modestly priced at 4/7.

Senegal to win - 10/11

Senegal were pushed pretty hard in the first half against Gambia and the red card for Ebou Adams in the 7th minute of injury time clearly changed the game heavily in their favour. However, Cisse's men put on a thoroughly professional performance and in young Metz attacking midfielder Lamine Camara, appear to have found the natural successor to Sadio Mane, as the teams figure head.

Cameroon meanwhile looked all at sea and while I think they will improve here, I can't see them troubling a team absolutely brimming full of confidence in Senegal. A fairly comfortable win for the Senegalese looks on the cards here.

Lamine Camara to score - 18/5

As mentioned above, Camara has probably been the star man of the tournament thus far and his second goal was a sight to behold, striking the ball first time into the top corner of the net from 25 yards, after a brilliant dribble from Iliman Ndiaye on the edge of the area.

The goal was Camara's second of the game and his sixth in 19 appearances for the national side. He is also playing regularly in Ligue 1 this season and it surely won't be long before he moves to a bigger club. Keep an eye on him on Friday night, he is dynamite.
