Czech Republic vs Mexico Bet Builder Tips: 71/1 Bet Builder? That’s A Mora

Czech Republic meet host nation Mexico at Estadio Banorte on Thursday morning (2am BST, Wednesday 7pm local, live on BBC One), for the final round of group games at this summer’s World Cup.
Mexico’s victories over South Africa and South Korea, combined with other results, mean that they’ve already secured their place in the knockout stages, as well as top spot in Group A with a game to spare. In contrast, Czech Republic almost certainly need a win here to keep their knockout hopes alive. Read on for my Czech Republic vs Mexico Bet Builder tips.

Match Result – draw
As mentioned in the introduction, Mexico have already secured their place in the next round.
Javier Aguirre now faces the classic dilemma of aiming to finish the group strongly to maintain momentum heading into the knockouts or offer some fringe players some minutes to keep his squad fresh.
Czech Republic need a win after losing to South Korea and drawing with South Africa, and I haven’t been overly impressed by Miroslav Koubek’s men in their opening two tussles.
If Aguirre does utilise his squad for this one, it does offer the Czechs a better chance of getting the win they crave, but honestly, I can still see Mexico salvaging a draw here.
Over 2.5 goals
Following on from the theme that Czech Republic need a win, I’m assuming that they’ll take risks here otherwise they could be on the next flight home.
If the game becomes stretched, surely, we’ll see some goals, and there’s been very few games that have been low scoring.
The Mexicans have also demonstrated that they can score at will - the recent 5-1 victory over Serbia being an example of that.
Gilberto Mora to have 2+ shots on target (Sub Switch)
Reports suggest that the golden boy of Mexican football could be handed a starting berth here to showcase his talents.
The 17-year-old got 24 minutes in Mexico’s opener against South Africa but had to settle for a place on the bench against South Korea.
Mora plays in the number 10 role for club side Tijuana and if Aguirre hands him his first World Cup start in his preferred position, I think he’s a value bet to get at least two shots on target.
With Betfred's new 'Sub Switch' feature, if your player gets substituted at any point in the match, your selection is switched to the next player!
