After holding a star-studded Portugal side to a draw in their opening World Cup Group K encounter, DR Congo will be out to cause more headaches when they take on Colombia in Guadalajara on Tuesday night (8pm local, 3am Wednesday BST, live on ITV).

Los Cafeteros dealt with Uzbekistan first up and a second victory will send them into the knockout phase with real confidence. My Colombia vs DR Congo Bet Builder tips combine four picks to construct a tempting 10.39/1 selection.

Colombia vs DR Congo Odds

Over 2.5 Total Goals

There should definitely be goals in this one. Colombia are always a great watch at the World Cup, with seven of their 10 matches in the competition in the 21st Century having featured over 2.5 goals.

Meanwhile, DR Congo’s match against Portugal was most notable for the opportunities not taken from good attacking positions. That was a large reason for the grand total of two goals in that fixture.

There’s also no Cristiano Ronaldo involved here so the forward movement should be of a higher standard… Sorry, internet.

But seriously, Colombia’s attackers look thrilling, the Leopards look dangerous on the ball, and the atmosphere ought to be an incredible one which is receptive to great attacking play.

Player 2+ Shots on Target (Sub Switch): Luis Diaz

Bayern Munich’s Luis Diaz was pretty much everywhere in the 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan on matchday one.

He scored one, assisted another, hit the woodwork, and generally led the Uzbek defence a merry dance.

Up against DR Congo I believe he can be just as dangerous, and with Chancel Mbemba likely to be his direct opponent he could have an early advantage. That’s because the centre-back is on a booking from the opening game so he’ll have to give Diaz the half-a-step which could make all the difference.

I fancy Diaz to work goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi at least a couple of times as a result, and with Betfred’s Sub Switch offering meaning our bet continues with his replacement even if he’s substituted, there’s even more value for us here.

Player 1+ Shot on Target (Sub Switch): Luis Suarez

The one player in Colombia’s starting front six who didn’t get a shot in against Uzbekistan was Suarez, their focal point in attack.

That said much about his ability to unselfishly make the right runs to open up space for others. The striker can also be a threat on goal though, as proved by his 38 goals in all competitions for Sporting CP in 2025/26.

So I like the look of him to send in at least one shot on target, again with the added bonus of the Sub Switch offer.

World Cup Odds

Player 2+ Fouls (Sub Switch): Chancel Mbemba

As mentioned, Mbemba has a yellow card against him name and a further booking here would rule him out of what ought to be a crucial final group fixture against Uzbekistan.

To some extent, the Lille defender might need to be careful, but up against Diaz there can be no liberties offered.

So I think the DR Congo captain will end up running the risk of that suspension kicking in with a couple of fouls in Guadalajara.
