With the Premiership making way for the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup this weekend, we get inventive with our latest accumulator. Thankfully, there’s still plenty of value available on the Betfred website and mobile app, including great odds at Hampden.
Scottish football writer, Frank Monkhouse makes the case for backing three underdogs with bite for his Saturday Football Accumulator Tips.

Aberdeen to beat Hearts @ 21/10
The first of this weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-finals looks like a real pick-em contest, and it would be easy to make a strong case for either the Dons or Jambos winning.
Both teams have a golden opportunity to reach the final and won’t want to let the chance slip through their fingers. Yes, both teams are good enough to win this semi-final, but the value available on Aberdeen is unmissable.
As well as being higher in the league than their opponents, with ten more points on the board, and more goals scored, Aberdeen are the underdogs, and that doesn’t go unnoticed.
The Dons enjoy a long unbeaten run in the Premiership and face an opponent with one win in their previous five, including three defeats. Aberdeen haven’t lost to Hearts in three games this season, and that’s good enough for a spot in our treble.
Greenock Morton to beat Airdrieonians @ 2/1
You won’t see me tip Morton too often in this column, as the team from Greenock are notoriously tricky to predict. The Ton’s recent form shows they’ve lost each of their last three and are winless in four.
That dip in form will likely cost them a place in the top four and the Premiership playoffs. But nothing has been decided, and Dougie Imrie’s troops will throw themselves a late lifeline with a win over bottom club Airdrie.
The Diamonds may enjoy the home advantage, but they’re headed for League One after winning only seven of their previous 33 starts. I was surprised to see the Betfred traders attach a big price to Morton in sixth against Airdrie in 10th.
The visitors are unbeaten in this fixture, scoring six goals past the Diamonds and conceding four. A team higher in the league with a strong head-to-head advantage and big odds ensured Morton caught my eye.
Partick Thistle to beat Dunfermline Athletic @ 15/8
Partick Thistle is another team involved in the play-off race and visiting an opponent involved in a relegation dogfight. Glasgow’s third team starts in fourth but has lost its last two, allowing the chasing pack to close the gap.
The Jags have Raith Rovers and Morton for company, ensuring a strong response. Partick know a 14th win of the season would supercharge their chances of gaining promotion to the Premiership.
Dunfermline are the home team in round 34 of what has been another thrilling season from the second tier of Scottish football.
Four defeats in six have the Pars level on points with second from bottom Queens Park and five better than bottom club Airdrie. Thistle have already beaten Saturday’s opponents twice this term, both by a 1-0 scoreline. Expect another battling performance and a narrow win at a fantastic offer.
