Brazil vs Egypt Prediction: Radiant Rayan to dazzle in Cleveland

Brazil and Egypt face one another in Cleveland on Saturday in their final warm-up fixture before the FIFA World Cup (6pm local/11PM BST, ITVX). The Selecao trounced Panama 6-2 on Sunday, so they look raring to go in North America.

Egypt won a narrow match against Russia last week and they will face a sterner test in Carlo Ancelotti's side. Read on for my Brazil vs Egypt predictions, alongside the latest match odds from Betfred and team news.

Ancelotti might consider rotating his Brazil side, so some of his big-hitters are rested for their opening group game against Morocco next Saturday.

This could see Endrick, Lucas Paqueta, Rayan and Igor Thiago promoted from the bench, with the latter three scoring against Panama last time out.

After a six-goal showing against Panama, Brazil's mood should be lifted as the World Cup draws closer. A match against Egypt gives Ancelotti and his players another opportunity to fine-tune their patterns and show off their attacking resources.

The Selecao can even highlight their depth with a rotated line-up, and this may yet still be too much for Egypt to handle. I like the look of covering Brazil with a -2 handicap, meaning they will need to win by three clear goals on Saturday.

They have accomplished this in three of their past nine fixtures, as well as two of their six historic encounters with the Pharoahs.

I'll admit I wasn't too familiar with Rayan before his January transfer to AFC Bournemouth, but I've very quickly become a fan of his. The teenager is one of the brightest young talents in football and he's made the transition from Portugal to the Premier League with ease.

He's deserving of his place in Brazil's World Cup squad and I reckon he'll be one to keep a close eye on in the coming weeks. He's already off the mark for his country in just his second appearance, and I think his chances of finding the net will be boosted if he starts against Egypt.

At 13/10 (implied probability of 43.5%), I think's he's worth covering to score anytime on Saturday.
