Arguably the pick of the round-of-32 ties at the 2026 FIFA World Cup comes from the Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico, where two top-10 ranked teams, the Netherlands (seventh) and Morocco (sixth), meet (Monday 7pm local, Tuesday 2am BST).

Below are my Netherlands vs Morocco Bet Builder Tips with a three-time UEFA Champions League winner backed to play a pivotal role...

Both Teams to Score - Yes

Backing Both Teams to Score - Yes is an obvious selection in a Netherlands Bet Builder as it's won in six of their seven matches this calendar year, including the last four, and all three of their group games at the World Cup.

The Oranje drew 2-2 with Japan in their opener before thrashing Sweden 5-1 and easing to a 3-1 success over Tunisia.

Morocco, meanwhile, have kept just the one clean sheet in North America, with a 1-0 victory over Scotland sandwiched between a 1-1 draw with Brazil and a 4-2 win against Haiti. Both Teams to Score - Yes has landed in three of their last four games as a 1-1 friendly draw with Norway on 7 June preceded their World Cup campaign.

The two previous meetings between the Netherlands and Morocco have finished 2-1 in favour of the former, first at the 1994 World Cup in the USA, and more recently a friendly in 2017, and I'm backing both sides to get on the scoresheet again here.

Player 1+ Shots on Target (Sub Switch) - Ismael Saibari (MAR)

PSV Eindhoven’s Ismael Saibari, who is reportedly set for a move to Bayern Munich this summer, put himself on the international map this month, scoring in all three of Morocco’s group games against Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.

The 25-year-old, who averaged 1.4 and 0.9 shots on target, respectively, in the 2025/26 Eredivisie and UEFA Champions League, has scored five goals in as many appearances for the Atlas Lions in June, blanking in just one game (v Norway), in which he registered a shot on target.

Surprisingly, given his red-hot form in North America, seven players, all Dutch, are a lower price in the Player Shots on Target market, while a couple of his teammates are the same price.

If you’re not backing Saibari to score in a fourth consecutive World Cup match, then a shot on target may be of consideration.

Betfred's Sub Switch rolls your bet to the oncoming substitute, so you stay in the game, even when your player doesn’t.

Netherlands vs Morocco Odds

Player 2+ Shots (Sub Switch) - Achraf Hakimi (MAR)

Morocco captain Achraf Hakimi recorded 10 shots across three group-stage appearances, trying his luck three times against Brazil, twice against Scotland and five times against Haiti, scoring in the latter match.

The 27-year-old averaged 1.5 shots per game in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League last season and won't be shy to shoot if the opportunity arises against the Netherlands.

Player 2+ Fouls Won (Sub Switch) - Achraf Hakimi (MAR)

I'm also backing Hakimi to win at least two fouls, with only Tunisia's Hannibal Mejbri (15), Curacao's Tahith Chong (13) and Scotland's John McGinn (11) fouled more times in the group stage than the Paris Saint-Germain player (10) who picked up his third Champions League winners' medal last month.

Hakimi was fouled five times against Brazil, three times against Scotland and twice against Haiti, so at least two fouls won looks like a solid bet here against a Dutch side who averaged 8.6 fouls per game in the group stage.
