A full slate of EFL games on Friday night means our Saturday accumulator features plenty of non-league action plus a game from the Premier League.

This fourfold is currently priced-up at 16/1 as of the time of publication...

Saturday Accumulator Tips:

  • Back Crystal Palace to Win in Crystal Palace vs Brentford @ 13/10
  • Back Marine AFC to Win in Basford United vs Marine AFC @ 19/20
  • Back Radcliffe FC to Win in FC United of Manchester vs Radcliffe FC @ Evens
  • Back Tamworth to Win in Rushall Olympic vs Tamworth @ 10/11
  • Overall Odds - 16/1

Leg 1 - Crystal Palace vs Brentford - Home Win @ 13/10

It doesn’t seem like yesterday that Roy Hodgson seemed to be on the verge of losing his job as the manager at Selhurst Park.

Since the disappointing 0-2 home defeat to Bournemouth, his team have competed against three of the perceived big clubs in the league and whilst they’ve only come away with a solitary point from those encounters, his side gave each and every one of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea an almighty fright. They also drew with arch-rivals Brighton.

Performances are clearly on an upswing and the return to fitness of Michael Olise is a big part of that.

On Saturday they face a Brentford side who are clearly in a significant dip form wise and nothing says that better than being taken apart by Wolves in front of their own fans on Wednesday night. That was their fourth-straight defeat and whilst Thomas Frank is under no real pressure, this run is certainly concerning.

With two teams feeling very different about themselves, I like Palace to finally get the three-points that their recent performances have deserved and move above Brentford in the league table.

Leg 2 - Basford United vs Marine AFC - Away Win @ 19/20

With a full-slate of EFL action on Friday night, it means we are scouring the non-leagues to bulk up the Saturday accumulator.

The first of three games comes from Greenwich Avenue, where fans of the home side haven’t been able to celebrate a victory since the opening weekend of November. This run of poor form has seen the Lions drift towards the foot of the table, and seeing high-flying Marine roll into town is not what the doctor ordered.

Neil Young’s side have drawn both of their games over the festive period, but they were against two promotion-rivals in Whitby Town and Rylands. Getting to face a team in poor form should give them a great opportunity to get another victory under their belts.

Leg 3 - FC United of Manchester vs Radcliffe FC - Away Win @ Evens

Sticking in the Northern Premier League where the runaway leaders have seen their large lead eaten into following three defeats in their past five games, yet Radcliffe are still four-points clear of second-placed Rylands.

They make the short-trip to FC United of Manchester this weekend, with the hosts playing well and picking up two wins from two over the holidays so far. A 2-1 home win against Stafford Rangers was followed up by a win at Ashton United by the same scoreline.

Backing against Radcliffe has not been a profitable endeavour so far this season though and even if their recent form has been a bit iffy, most watchers of the division would say that the leaders are the best team in the league. Class tells, and the away team get a big three points.

Leg 4 - Rushall Olympic vs Tamworth - Away Win @ 10/11

Picking three away wins fills me with a significant amount of concern, but I’m going with it. Once more this is a top side on the road against a side near the relegation-zone, very similar to Basford United vs Marine AFC and the odds offered are nearly identical.

Tamworth make the short-trip to Dales Lane, having won more games than any other side in the National League North. Andy Peaks’ side have already won 16 games this campaign and only goal difference is keeping them off the top spot with promotion back to the fifth tier of English football, for the first time in ten years, still very much a possibility.

Rushall beat South Shields last Saturday, but that was their only victory in either the months of November and December. That isn’t good. Getting Tamworth at close to even-money feels like a game that should appear on many a Saturday acca.
