Real Betis vs Sevilla

Sunday night’s derby between bitter rivals Real Betis and Sevilla is set to be a fiery affair, even with an 11-point gap between the sides.

Betis are seventh in La Liga and they’re battling to secure European football for next term.

Sevilla have spent much of the season at the other end of the table, but three consecutive wins has seen them leap into 12th.

With both sides heading into this one in form, this is set to be an entertaining clash. Below you can find my Real Betis vs Sevilla prediction, along with team news and match odds.

Real Betis vs Sevilla Prediction

  • Both Teams to Score @ 4/5
  • #PickYourPunt - Youssef En-Nesyri to score anytime and a sending off in the game @ 13/2

Team News

Betis head into this clash without Marc Bartra and Hector Bellerin, but they are hopeful that both Sokratis and Marc Roca will be fit enough to return to the squad.

Sevilla welcome back Kike Salas from suspension, although the visitors may be reluctant to make changes amid a good run.

Match Odds

Betis have home advantage and are priced at 21/20 - or a 48.8% chance - to seal the derby bragging rights, while improving Sevilla are 13/5 to take the points. The draw is available at 12/5.

November’s reverse fixture at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ended in a 1-1 draw and it is 11/2 for a repeat result on Sunday.

Both Teams to Score @ 4/5

Betis have won 2-1 in their last two games to keep themselves in the mix for Europe. They head into this game with both teams scoring in seven of their last eight, while they’ve managed just two clean sheets across their last 11 at home.

Sevilla’s three-game winning run should give them confidence going into this clash. The visitors have picked up wins at Las Palmas and Getafe in that stretch and they can trouble a shaky Betis defence in this one.

Both teams to score is the standout bet given the form of both sides. In addition, the last three league meetings between the pair have finished level, while Betis have lost only twice at home this term. They’ve drawn on six occasions and with the two teams in scoring form, a 2-2 draw also appeals at 14/1.

BTTS - yes at 4-5

#PickYourPunt - Youssef En-Nesyri to score anytime and a sending off in the game @ 13/2

This derby clash tends to have a heated atmosphere, with four red cards dished out across the last three league meetings. Betis have received three red cards in their last three home encounters with Sevilla, while the visitors have one of the worst disciplinary records in the league.

Another sending off looks likely between this pair, so that’s the first selection in a 13/2 #PickYourPunt double.

Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri is the form man heading into the game. He scored and assisted in the win over Mallorca last time out and the striker has five goals in his last six matches in La Liga.

He should trouble this shaky Betis defence on Sunday night, having scored 12 times in La Liga so far this term. The forward is a great anytime goalscorer option on his own at 9/5, but we’re pairing him to score anytime with a player to be sent off to complete this double tip.

PYP at 13-2
