RB Bragantino welcome five-time Brazilian champions Atletico Mineiro to Estádio Municipal Cícero de Souza Marques this Wednesday, February 4 (22:00GMT). The sides are preparing to play their second game of the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro season.
Mineiro drew 2-2 with 2023 champions Palmeiras in their opener while Bragantino got off to a good start, beating Coritiba 1-0. Read on for my RB Bragantino vs Atletico Mineiro predictions with the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
The home side will be without Vanderlan, who is sidelined following brain surgery to correct a tangle of blood vessels in his brain. Thankfully, the midfielder is said to be recovering well. But it will be a few months before Vanderlan returns to the pitch.
He will be joined on the Red Bull sidelines by Paraguay forward Isidro Pitta (ankle) and defender Guzman Rodriguez (ACL).
Mineiro can call upon the eternal Hulk, the Brazilian international who is still banging in the goals at the age of 39. Since signing for the Galo he has netted an incredible 136 goals in 291 games. Hulkamania is still runnin’ wild, brother.
Elsewhere, Mineiro will miss Lyanco, the central defender who was once on the books at Southampton. He misses out with an Achilles tendon injury.

RB Bragantino vs Atletico Mineiro Odds
Red Bull are 6/5 to score the victory while Mineiro are priced at 11/5. If you fancy honours to be shared, the draw is 11/5.
That boy Hulk is 5/1 to score first, a punt that might appeal to those who remember him powering his way through international tournaments for the Selecao. Eduardo Sasha is rated as the most likely goalscorer, with 8/5 his anytime price.
Bragantino to win @ 6/5
I like the home side in this one. They are having to adjust to life without goal-scoring midfield dynamo Jhon Jhon, who has joined Zenit. But they have recruited well, raiding promising attacking midfielder Rodriguinho from Sao Paulo and young midfielder Ignacio Sosa from Penarol.
An opening day win hinted at good things ahead and this side finished above Mineiro last season. It is too soon to say whether a repeat is on the cards, but I think Bragantino have enough to secure a home win.

Lucas Barbosa to score anytime @ 13/5
The almighty pull of nostalgia had me eyeing up Hulk for this column. He isn’t a bad shout, given his fine goal record since returning to the domestic game. But I’ve got my eye on the Red Bull ranks for my pick.
Sasha knows where the goal is but another big attacking threat, Pitta, is touch-and-go with an ankle injury. So I’m going with Lucas Barbosa, the attacking midfielder who was on loan at Juventude last season.
The 24-year-old netted 14 goals for the Alviverde last term and with Jhon Jhon moving on, he will get plenty of chances to impress. Barbosa is a solid bet to get on the scoresheet here.
