After their four-game winning streak in the Championship was followed by consecutive defeats, Queens Park Rangers will look to bounce back on Tuesday (19:45, Sky Sports+) when they host Blackburn Rovers at MATRADE Loftus Road.

The visitors ended a three-game losing streak by beating local rivals Preston North End on Friday, which will have given them a much-needed lift. Read on for my QPR vs Blackburn prediction, where you will also find the latest match odds and team news.

QPR vs Blackburn Rovers Betting Tips

  • QPR or draw and both teams to score @ 8/5
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 11/8

QPR vs Blackburn Rovers Odds

QPR have won five of their last six home games in the Championship, and they are 6/4 (which has an implied probability of 40%) to get back to winning ways here.

The draw is available at 21/10 (32.3%), having struck in four of Blackburn's 14 away trips this campaign.

Rovers have won two of their previous five fixtures in the second tier but they haven't won on their travels since December 10. They are 2/1 to come away with the three points in west London.

Both teams to score has been a successful bet in three of QPR's last four home encounters in the league, and you can back this market at 1/1 for Tuesday's contest.

Andreas Weimann has bagged six goals for Rovers in the league so far, and his latest came at Bristol City on January 25. The Austrian is 100/30 to add to his tally here.

Team News

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes is still coping with several injuries as Karamoko Dembele (unspecified), Jake Clarke-Salter (hip), Zan Celar (hamstring) and Lucas Andersen (calf) are all out of action.

The Spaniard might freshen things up for this match following two defeats in a row. Alfie Lloyd, who scored in the most recent defeat at Millwall, may be joined or replaced by Michael Frey up front, while Rayan Kolli will also be pushing for a recall.

Koki Saito is another player hoping to start against Rovers, and he could make a direct swap with Kieran Morgan to feature in between Ilias Chair and Paul Smyth. Sam Field and Jonathan Varane are expected to continue in the engine room, but veteran Jack Colback offers another dynamic if required.

Rovers head coach John Eustace is still struggling with a big injury list of his own, which has likely had an impact on their recent slump. Arnor Sigurdsson (thigh), Scott Wharton (cruciate ligament), Sondre Tronstad (hamstring), Yuki Ohashi (ankle), Zak Gilsenan (muscle), Harry Pickering and Hayden Carter (both knee) are all in the medical bay.

Blackburn dug deep to earn three points over rivals Preston and the core group should get the nod to start at Loftus Road. Todd Cantwell would be deserving of a start after coming on from the bench to net the decisive penalty deep in the second half last time out.

QPR or draw and both teams to score @ 8/5

After much improvement since November, it was a little surprising to see QPR suffer back-to-back defeats. However, it took them a while to get going this term and they can go and pick themselves up again.

Their home form has been key for them in recent months, having lost just once in their last seven league appearances at Loftus Road. The defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on January 25 would have stung, but they know how much success they've had here of late and will fancy themselves to bounce back against Blackburn.

Rovers did get back to winning ways on Friday but they are winless on their travels in their last four attempts in the second tier. Not to mention the amount of players they are missing due to injury. Eustace is doing his best to get them through this difficult spell and it may be enough at Ewood Park, not so much on the road.

His players have been lifted by the Preston victory, though, so I do think they could earn a hard-fought point in the capital. That's why I'm going to cover the R's with the insurance of a draw as a result, but I'm adding both teams to score because it has been a recent trend for QPR on home soil.

Over 2.5 goals @ 11/8

We've also grown accustomed to goals when games have been played at Loftus Road in recent months. Five of the past eight league contests here have produced over 2.5 goals, including three of the last four.

As well as this, the R's head into Tuesday's clash having seen at least three goals scored in four of their previous six outings in the Championship (home and away). This market has also been a winning selection in Blackburn's last two appearances in the second tier, which bodes well for us experiencing a few goals when these two teams meet in W12.
