Having been relegated from the Premier League, Wolves may not have much motivation for their remaining fixtures. On Saturday (15:00 BST), they face Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux (15:00 BST), with the Lilywhites hoping to avoid the same fate as the Old Gold.

Spurs are 15 league games without a win, with their last victory coming in December. Read on for my Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Dan Bentley is Wolves' only senior goalkeeper available at the moment due to injuries to Sam Johnstone (shoulder) and Jose Sa (unspecified).

Angel Gomes (foot), Matt Doherty (knock) and Ladislav Krejci (neck) are the other injury concerns for the hosts.

Premier League Odds

Spurs have a big injury list themselves with Wilson Odobert (ACL), Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero (both knee), Mohammed Kudus (thigh), Ben Davies (ankle) and Guglielmo Vicario (hernia) all ruled out.

Roberto De Zerbi may field a similar XI to the one that drew with Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, but Lucas Bergvall may be promoted from the bench to add energy in the middle of the park.

Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineups

  • Wolves: Bentley; Tchatchoua, Toti, S. Bueno, H. Bueno; J. Gomes, Andre, Mane; Bellegarde, Armstrong, Hwang
  • Tottenham Hotspur: Kinsky; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Bergvall, Bentancur, Gallagher; Tel, Solanke, Simons

Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Wolves are 18/5 to post a third straight home victory in the Premier League.

The draw is marketed at 3/1, with September's reverse fixture ending in a stalemate. Spurs are 7/10 to snap their 15-game winless streak.

Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes has been booked nine times in the top flight this term and he is the 15/8 favourite to pick up a yellow card on Saturday.

Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats

  • Wolves are winless in their last three matches (D1 L2)
  • 6 of Tottenham's past 8 league games have seen both teams score
  • Xavi Simons has scored 6 goals in all competitions this term, with his latest coming against Brighton last week

Today's Football Fixtures

Match Result & Both Teams To Score - Tottenham Hotspur & Yes @ 11/5

Yes, this is a bold selection, but I think this is Tottenham's best chance of three points from their remaining Premier League fixtures. Wolves have had their relegation confirmed, giving them nothing to play for in their final five games.

Spurs are fighting for their lives to try and avoid joining their hosts in the Championship next term. Fifteen matches without a win is going to be a difficult streak to break, but I am banking on Wolves not really being in the mood for this contest.

On the other hand, with their fate sealed, the Old Gold could come out all guns blazing because they have nothing to lose.

I'm sticking with my gut, though. Spurs showed fight against Brighton and they thought they had collect a vital three points, only to concede an equaliser deep into injury time.

I'm sticking with my gut feeling and backing a Spurs victory in the West Midlands, but I am not expecting it to be easy. I've added BTTS - Yes to the selection because it has struck in six of Tottenham's past eight outings in the league, as well as the reverse fixture against Wolves earlier in the campaign.

Anytime Goalscorer - Xavi Simons @ 13/5

In a bleak season for Spurs, Xavi Simons has been something of a bright spark. He has looked Tottenham's brightest player but he hasn't quite had the impact in front of goal that he or the supporters would have liked.

The Dutchman has just two goals in the Premier League but his latest came against Brighton, and what a strike it was. Simons is going to be key to Spurs' survival hopes in the next few weeks and I think they will look to him for inspiration in Saturday's crunch clash in the West Midlands.

At 13/5 (implied probability of 27.8%), I think he's worth backing to find the net for a second successive match.
