Newcastle vs Chelsea (Sat 12:30) - 2-2 @ 10/1

Newcastle United were flat in their defeat at rivals Sunderland last weekend, so they will need to show improvements when they host Chelsea at St. James' Park on Sunday.

The Blues ended a four-game winless run in all competitions with a win against Everton last weekend, before beating Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup in midweek. The visitors have more momentum, but the Magpies tend to be a different animal when playing at home.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 1-2

Bournemouth vs Burnley (Sat 15:00) - 3-1 @ 11/1

AFC Bournemouth played their part in an eight-goal thriller on Monday as they drew 4-4 at Manchester United. The Cherries are seven games without a win in the league, and they will look to change that as they host struggling Burnley, who have suffered seven consecutive defeats in the top flight.

If Bournemouth can't win this one, then questions will need to be asked of Andoni Iraola and his players.

Simon: 3-0

Premier League Odds

Brighton vs Sunderland (Sat 15:00) - 2-2 @ 14/1

Sunderland will be full of confidence after winning last week's derby, but a tough trip to Brighton & Hove Albion awaits. The Black Cats have performed at their best at home this season, and they are crying out for an improvement on the road.

Brighton haven't been the most convincing side this season, and I do believe there is an opportunity for Sunderland to pick up a point in Sussex.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 1-2

Man City vs West Ham (Sat 15:00) - 3-0 @ 7/1

After keeping a clean sheet in last weekend's win at Crystal Palace, Manchester City will be hoping for more of the same as they welcome West Ham United to the Etihad Stadium.

The Irons were beaten at home by Aston Villa last time out despite leading twice. City have now kept successive clean sheets in the top flight with maximum points collected in each of their previous four outings.

Wolves vs Brentford (Sat 15:00) - 1-1 @ 11/2

Wolverhampton Wanderers may still be waiting for their first league win of the season, but they surprisingly held their own at Arsenal for much of the game last week, despite going on to lose 2-1.

They did frustrate the league leaders, and they will look to do the same against Brentford, who head to Molineux. The Bees were held to a point at home to Leeds United last time out, and they have been very disappointing on their travels this term.

Wolves may be good for a draw here.

Today's Football Fixtures

Spurs vs Liverpool (Sat 17:30) - 2-2 @ 11/1

I think this might be the third successive draw I have tipped Liverpool for in the Premier League. The Reds picked up a good win at home to Brighton last week, and they will look to build on that when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur.

Pressure is likely starting to build on Spurs and boss Thomas Frank after their 3-0 drubbing at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and so they are in need of a positive performance and result here.

Neither side is thriving at the moment, so they may just cancel each other out.

Nick: 1-3

Simon: 0-2

Everton vs Arsenal (Sat 20:00) - 1-2 @ 15/2

Everton were pegged back at Chelsea last week, ending a two-game winning streak for the Toffees. They return to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, where Arsenal are their opponents.

They should sense an opportunity after the Gunners failed to put Wolves to the sword, but I am expecting an improvement from the visitors when they head to Merseyside. I am predicting a tight contest, but I have Arsenal edging it.

Leeds vs Crystal Palace (Sat 20:00) - 2-1 @ 9/1

Leeds are unbeaten in their last three league matches, and they are back in action at Elland Road as Crystal Palace make the trip north. The Whites are probably in their biggest confidence mood of the campaign, and rightly so after beating Chelsea here, as well as holding Liverpool to a point.

Much has been made of Palace's lack of squad depth, which isn't helped by injuries and Ismaila Sarr's absence due to the Africa Cup of Nations. The Eagles may suffer from fatigue after European action on Thursday, and so Leeds may be worth backing for another impressive home result.

Nick: 1-1

Simon: 0-2

Villa vs Man United (Sun 16:30) - 3-2 @ 18/1

Aston Villa cannot stop winning at the moment. Sunday's victory at West Ham made it nine wins on the spin in all competitions, while they have won 10 of their last 11 in the top flight - firmly putting them in the title race.

I think their win streak can continue at home against Manchester United on Sunday, but I suspect a high-scoring game with the Red Devils bagging eight goals in their last two matches.

Nick: 3-1

Simon: 2-1

Football Odds

Fulham vs Forest (Mon 20:00) - 2-2 @ 12/1

Fulham have won three of their last five games in the Premier League, and they entertain Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage on Monday night. The Tricky Trees were comfortable winners at home to Spurs last time out, but I think this will be a tougher fixture for Sean Dyche's men.

Both have players of individual quality who can make a difference in the final third, so I'm going to play it safe and go for a score draw.
