Manchester City vs Brentford Prediction: City to get back on track at the Etihad

Manchester City's draw at Everton last weekend has put them at a disadvantage in the Premier League title race. They are five points behind Arsenal with one game in hand. Pep Guardiola's side will look to get back to winning ways when they host Brentford at the Etihad on Saturday (17:30 BST, Sky Sports Main Event).

Team News

City remain without key defenders Josko Gvardiol (tibial fracture) and Ruben Dias (ankle), while midfielder Rodri has missed his side's past three matches with a groin problem.

Guardiola could consider playing Nico O'Reilly in midfield, allowing Rayan Ait-Nouri to come in at left-back. Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo, Rayan Cherki and Jeremy Doku should make up the hosts' front four.

Premier League Odds

Antoni Milambo and Fabio Carvalho (both knee) remain sidelined for Brentford. Jordan Henderson (unspecified) and Rico Henry (hamstring) are doubts to feature on Saturday.

Man City are the 4/11 favourites to triumph here and they have beaten Brentford in the past three competitive meetings at the Etihad.

Five of the Bees' last seven outings in the Premier League have been draws, with the stalemate here priced at 9/2.

Brentford are a 13/2 bet to come away with the three points.

Haaland has four goals in his previous six appearances against the visitors and he is 2/1 to open the scoring on Saturday.

On home turf, they will be fired up to deliver in front of their fans but Brentford will go to the Etihad looking to profit on the back of City's stalemate on Merseyside last weekend.
