Crystal Palace will be hoping to end their dreadful run of form when they welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon (14:00 GMT, live on Sky Sports Main Event).

The Eagles are on a seven-game winless run, while it's been a solid start to life as Chelsea head coach for Liam Rosenior as four games in charge across all competitions has yielded three wins, 10 goals and two clean sheets. Read on for my Crystal Palace vs Chelsea predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Crystal Palace continue to adjust to life after Marc Guehi, after the defender departed for pastures new in the form of Manchester City earlier this month.

Ismaila Sarr will return from international duty after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and is expected to start.

As for Chelsea, Robert Sanchez is set to be recalled between the sticks after Filip Jorgensen suffered an injury that forced him off against Pafos in midweek. Cole Palmer also missed that match as a precaution but the England international is set to return to the side this weekend.

Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwill are long-term absentees and Tosin Adarabioyo is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury in the win over Brentford.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Predicted Lineups

  • Crystal Palace: Henderson; Richards, Lacriox, Lerma; Devenny, Wharton, Sarr, Mitchell; Johnson, Pino, Mateta
  • Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Acheampong, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Garnacho; Joao Pedro

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Odds

Palace are 13/5 to end their barren run, the draw is the same price, while Chelsea can be backed at 21/20, giving them an implied win probability of 48.8%.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, who recently told Palace he wishes to leave Selhurst Park, is favourite to score anytime at 6/4, followed by Cole Palmer at 13/8, and both teams to score is available at 4/6.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Stats

  • Crystal Palace are winless in their last 16 Premier League games against Chelsea
  • Chelsea have only failed to score in one of their 16 Premier League away games against Crystal Palace
  • Only Burnley (13) are on a longer winless run in the Premier League currently than Crystal Palace (7)

Chelsea to win @ 21/20

I'm going to back Chelsea to win back-to-back games for the first time since November, and I think it's worth taking the odds-against price that's currently on offer.

Palace are currently in all sorts of trouble; Oliver Glasner has announced that he's departing the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, Guehi has left for Man City, and it appears that star striker Mateta now wants out too.

That unease has spilled onto the pitch, with Palace now winless in 10 matches in all competitions and managing just one clean sheet during that run. In addition, the Eagles are winless in 16 Premier League contests with Chelsea - and I don't see that changing on Sunday.

Enzo Fernandez to be carded @ 3/1

Fernandez has been all-action in recent weeks for the Blues - in his last eight appearances, the Argentine has picked up four yellow cards and ranks in the top three at Chelsea for fouls committed during that period.

Fernandez is committing an average of 1.11 fouls-per-90 minutes in the Premier League this season, so he looks a decent candidate to be cautioned on Sunday afternoon.

In addition, the 25-year-old was also shown a yellow card on his last visit to Selhurst Park in this exact fixture last season.
