Burnley vs Everton Prediction: Toffees to secure a narrow victory

Burnley ended their Premier League losing streak with a point at AFC Bournemouth last weekend. On Saturday, they welcome Everton to Turf Moor (15:00 GMT). The Toffees will look to end a two-game losing streak in Lancashire after suffering defeats against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Team News
Axel Tuanzebe (DR Congo), Lyle Foster (South Africa) and Hannibal Mejbri (Tunisia) are unavailable for Burnley due to their participation at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni (both knee) and Connor Roberts (knee) remain sidelined through injury for the Clarets.
After earning a draw at Bournemouth, boss Scott Parker may decide to stick with the same XI on Saturday.
Everton have a couple of Afcon absentees of their own in Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye, who are both representing Senegal.
On the injury front, the Toffees are missing Jarrad Branthwaite, Seamus Coleman and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall due to hamstring issues.
Burnley vs Everton Predicted Lineups
- Burnley: Dubravka; Sonne, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman; Ugochukwu, Cullen, Florentino; Anthony, Bruun Larsen, Flemming
- Everton: Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Iroegbunam; McNeil, Alcaraz, Grealish; Barry
Burnley have won just two of their eight home games in the league this season and they are 16/5 to prevail here.
With the Clarets having drawn last time out, the draw is on offer at 12/5.
Everton are 19/20 (implied probability of 51.3%) to come away with the three points, having won two of their previous three away trips in the top flight.
Under 2.5 Goals has landed in three of the Toffees' past four outings in the Premier League, and it is valued at 4/6 on this occasion.
Burnley vs Everton Stats
- Three of Everton's last four league wins have produced Under 2.5 Goals
- They kept a clean sheet in all four
Match Result & Over/Under 2.5 Goals - Everton & Under @ 11/4
Burnley may have picked up a valuable point on the road last week but it was against a Bournemouth side who themselves are on a winless run. Everton may be heading to Turf Moor off the back of two defeats, but they have won games more recently than the Clarets and they will be determined to get back to winning ways.
The absences of Ndiaye and Dewsbury-Hall have presented blows at the top end of the pitch, but David Moyes still has players who can step up and make a difference in Lancashire, such as former Burnley man Dwight McNeil.
The visitors head here having won four of their last seven fixtures in the league, including two of their past three road trips. I think they will have enough quality to go out and get a win against the struggling Clarets but I can't imagine this one being filled with goals.
Six of Everton's last eight encounters in the league have seen fewer than three goals scored, while under 2.5 goals has landed in all but one of Burnley's home fixtures in the top flight in 2025/26.

Clean Sheet - Everton @ 13/10
With Burnley failing to score in four of their eight home matches in the Premier League this campaign, Moyes will be hoping that his side can go and record a shutout on Saturday.
All four of the Toffees' recent victories saw them keep a clean sheet and so I think there is value to be had in backing them to hold their hosts at bay on this occasion. Everton had two 1-0 victories at Manchester United and Bournemouth and against a side that has managed just seven goals in eight games at Turf Moor, the visiting defence should back themselves to claim a seventh clean sheet of the season.
