Brentford vs bournemouth betting tips

Brentford take on AFC Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (15:00 GMT) in the Premier League. The Bees will look to build on a rare away win, having defeated Wolves last time out.

The Cherries head to west London on a three-game drawing streak as they are now eight league matches without a victory. Below you will find my Brentford vs Bournemouth predictions, aided by the latest match odds and team news.

Team News

Dango Outtara remain absent for Brentford due to him being at the Africa Cup of Nations with Burkina Faso, while Frank Onyeka is representing Nigeria.

In terms of injuries, the Bees are missing Josh Dasilva, Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo due to knee issues, with Carvalho out for the season. Reiss Nelson has been carrying a knock and will need to be assessed ahead of the weekend.

After winning at Wolves, Keith Andrews is likely to field the same XI on Saturday.

Premier League Odds

Bournemouth have no Afcon absentees but boss Andoni Iraola does have a few injury troubles. Tyler Adams has cemented himself as a key figure for the Cherries in midfield but his latest knee issue will see him sidelined for up to three months.

Ben Gannon-Doak (hamstring), Veljko Milosavljevic (knee) and Matai Akinmboni (muscle) are also confined to the treatment room.

Brentford vs Bournemouth Predicted Lineups

  • Bournemouth: Petrovic; Smith, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Tavernier, Scott; Jimenez, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson

Today's Football Fixtures

Brentford vs Bournemouth Odds

Brentford have won three of their last four home games in the league and they are 13/10 to come out on top.

With three draws in a row for Bournemouth, the stalemate is appealing at 13/5, which has an implied probability of 27.8%.

The Cherries are 21/10 to come away with the three points, but they have won just one of their eight away trips in the top flight.

With goals in successive fixtures, Semenyo is an attractive 15/8 to score anytime.

Brentford vs Bournemouth Stats

  • BTTS - Yes and Over 3.5 Goals has struck in three of Brentford's last four home league games
  • Antoine Semenyo (BOU) has scored in his last two matches

Both Teams To Score & Over/Under 3.5 Goals - Yes & Over @ 15/8

I think this has the potential to be a very entertaining match. Both teams have showcased their attacking talents at times this season. Brentford have scored three goals in three of their past four outings at home in the Premier League, with both teams finding the net in all four of those fixtures.

For Bournemouth, they recently played out a thrilling 4-4 draw at Manchester United, while other recent away days have seen them lose 3-2 at Sunderland, 4-0 at Aston Villa and 3-1 at Manchester City.

So I think the combined BTTS - Yes and Over 3.5 Goals market is going to be a smart play for this contest in west London. Both clubs have quality in attack - Brentford with Igor Thiago and Bournemouth with Semenyo - with both players scoring 11 and eight league goals respectively.

Anytime Goalscorer - Antoine Semenyo @ 15/8

Of those two star players, I am choosing Semenyo to find the net on Saturday. After going two calendar months without a goal in the league, Semenyo has now scored in successive matches for the first time since October - as the rumours of a January transfer to Man City begin to heat up.

With a life-changing move on the cards, the winger will want to showcase his qualities in the next few games to potentially help any deal get over the line. Bournemouth are eight matches without a win and with Semenyo back amongst the goals, his contributions will be crucial in changing the Cherries' fortunes.

Brentford have been a tough nut to crack when playing at home this term but Semenyo has the individual quality to cause them problems and I fancy him to get on the scoresheet.
