Four more Premier League fixtures take place on Wednesday night, all on TNT Sports, and we are once again going to look at the statistics for each of these matches. Newcastle host Wolves, Everton face Aston Villa in David Moyes’ ‘first’ game in charge, Leicester face Crystal Palace and we have a north London Derby to look forward to as well.

Check out the Premier League Stats & Betting Trends for Wednesday's Matches below as we search for some value.

Premier League Stats and Tips - Wednesday, January 15

  • Alexander Isak to score @ 4/6
  • Everton to win @ 9/4
  • Boubakary Soumare to get booked @ 15/8
  • James Maddison to score last @ 16/1

Newcastle United vs Wolves

There’s only one place to start with Newcastle United right now. Alexander Isak is attracting interest thanks to his stunning form which has now seen him score 10 goals in his last seven Premier League appearances. He’s scored in all seven of those matches, and Jamie Vardy’s record of scoring in 11 consecutive PL games is now within sight.

Isak has been a superstar this season with 13 league goals in total, and he’s also got an outside shout of winning the Golden Boot. His efficiency in front of goal is impressive, as he has scored those goals from just 26 shots on target, and 39 total shots. He’s 4/6 to score anytime and 11/4 to score first against Wolves.

Newcastle United vs Wolves Odds

Newcastle sit second in the Premier League form table having won five of their last six matches, and they are just 1/3 to win this game against a Wolves outfit that has secured just two away wins all season. Vitor Pereira has made a big impact since replacing Gary O’Neil in the dugout, winning three of his five matches in charge. Therefore the 8/1 on an away win may prove to be good value as Wolves look to stay above the dotted line.

Wolves also have the highest over 2.5 goals percentage in the league this season, with 16 of their 20 matches so far seeing three goals or more. That’s 80 per cent, so over 2.5 goals is also a short price at 2/5.

Everton vs Aston Villa

So, Moyes is back. Over a decade since he left the Everton job for Manchester United, he’s returned to the place where he enjoyed 11 years of success as a manager. Another decade at Everton feels unfeasible, but there’s something rather nice about the thought of him being the man who says goodbye to Goodison Park, and the one who welcomes in a new era.

Anyway, you are reading this for some stats - so here they come. Everton have only won two of their nine home games this season which has left them just one point above the drop zone at the time of writing. They are priced at 9/4 to win this game, while Villa have lost five of their nine away games and are available at 13/10. Personally, I think the home side offer excellent value in Moyes’ homecoming.

Everton vs Aston Villa Odds

Everton’s home games also have seen very few goals. They have scored nine and conceded just 10 in nine home games, while they boast the lower over 2.5 goals percentage in the entire division. Across all 19 matches they have played, there have only been over 2.5 goals in seven - or 37 per cent - of them and that is priced at 8/11.

I think we could see another close affair here with under 2.5 goals as Villa have scored 11 goals in nine games on the road. Ollie Watkins has scored eight goals from 43 total shots, with 25 of them being shots on target.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace

Leicester will look to climb out of the relegation zone as they host Crystal Palace, with new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy having won two of his eight matches in charge so far. The Foxes beat QPR 6-2 in the FA Cup last time out but wins in the league have been hard to come by, however they are hosting a Palace team that has only one two league games on the road this term.

Leicester have seen over 2.5 goals in 75 per cent of their Premier League matches, a total only Wolves can beat in 2024/25. That is priced at 8/11, while Leicester are available at 11/4 for the win, and Palace are 19/20.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Odds

Boubakary Soumare is the most-booked player in the English top-flight this season, having picked up eight yellows so far. The Leicester man is priced at 15/8 to get booked, and that is a price I would be keen to get on board with based on what we have seen this term. Those cards have come in just 13 appearances, so keep an eye on him either starting or coming off the bench.

Eberechi Eze has only managed two goals so far this term, but he has had 18 shots on target and 31 shots in total. The Palace man is 6/1 to score from outside the area at the King Power Stadium, which could offer value given his set-piece expertise.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

The big one on Wednesday night. Arsenal crashed out of the FA Cup to Manchester United at the weekend on penalties, meaning they now have to win the Premier League or the Champions League to avoid another trophyless season. Tamworth proved to be a tough test for Tottenham, but they made it through and the cup has provided a welcome distraction.

Ange Postecoglou has seen his side fail to win their last four Premier League matches, and they have lost five of their nine away fixtures this term. They are priced at 6/1 to win this game, while Arsenal are just 4/9 having gone unbeaten at home so far in the league, winning six and drawing three of their nine games at the Emirates.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

From both of these teams so far this season, it may surprise you to know that James Maddison is the top scorer with eight goals. The midfielder has seemingly lost his place in Postecoglou’s starting XI however, but captained the team at Tamworth. He is 16/1 to score last, which could prove to be an interesting option if he comes off the bench.

With Bukayo Saka out, backing Kai Havertz to get a shot on target in your bet builder could also be sensible, given he has had 39 shots and 16 on target this term. Dominic Solanke is another potential candidate as he has had 20 shots on target in 17 appearances.

If you are searching for a player to pick up a card, Yves Bissouma (6/5), looks to be the best selection as he has already been given five this term, a total no player from either side can beat.
