Tuesday 14th January 2025, 6:42am

With a stonking weekend of FA Cup action now at an end, we now turn our attention back to the Premier League, and we’ve got a batch of midweek action coming your way. Our focus for this Premier League Stats & Betting Trends article is the matches on Tuesday night, as Chelsea host Bournemouth, West Ham face Fulham, Brentford take on Manchester City and there’s a belting clash between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool to look ahead to.

We are going to discuss the key Premier League Stats from each fixture, and hopefully give you some insight that you can take into the markets on Betfred. Read on for the Premier League Stats for Tuesday, January 14.

Premier League Odds - Tuesday, January 14

  • Antoine Semenyo to score @ 11/4
  • Sasa Lukic to be booked @ 8/5
  • Haaland 2+ SOT, Mbeumo and Wissa 1+ SOT @ 9/2
  • Mo Salah to score @ 21/20

Chelsea vs Bournemouth Stats

A big win over Morecambe in the FA Cup this weekend was much-needed for Chelsea, given they have failed to win their last four Premier League matches. This run of form came immediately after they won five games on the bounce and put themselves into title contention, but they have now dropped to fourth in the table.

They host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night (19:45, TNT Sports 3), and it’s been a fixture that has caused Chelsea some difficulty in the past. Bournemouth beat them twice in 2019 and won three of their first five Premier League away games at Chelsea, but the Blues have gone unbeaten in their last six meetings (W4 D2).

Chelsea are the favourites to win this fixture as well, priced at 3/5 while Bournemouth can be backed at 4/1 to take all three points which could prove to be good value given they are on a run of nine matches without defeat.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth Odds

Cole Palmer is still the key man for goals and has scored twice in the last four games to take his tally to 13 for the season. He also has six assists and is priced at 7/2 to score first. As per Opta, The last Chelsea player to register 20+ goal involvements in consecutive campaigns was Eden Hazard, who did so in his first three campaigns with the club, but that is certainly a target Palmer should be able to hit.

Bournemouth and Chelsea both sit below the average in terms of over 2.5 goals this season, so under 2.5 goals at 13/8 could also be worth considering. 50 per cent of Bournemouth’s games have finished with three or more goals, while that figure is 55 per cent for Chelsea. Palmer has had the third-highest number of shots on target in the league this season (30), but Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has had the third-highest number of total shots - only behind Erling Haaaland and Mo Salah with 50. He is 11/4 to find the net at anytime.

West Ham United vs Fulham Stats

West Ham are going to be without Niclas Fullkrug, Michail Antonio, Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen for this game, so goals could be an issue against a Fulham outfit that has conceded 27 goals in 20 matches so far.

Meanwhile, Marco Silva’s men have scored two goals in four of their last five outings in the Premier League, while they also hit four past Watford on FA Cup weekend. They are 11/8 to come away with the win in this game, while West Ham are priced at 6/4. If you fancy Fulham to score two or more goals again, they can be backed at 1/1.

West Ham vs Fulham Odds

Sasa Lukic has already picked up seven yellow cards this season and he is 8/5 to get another yellow here, while Lucas Paqueta is 7/4 to pick up a card for West Ham, having already been booked five times.

These two drew 1-1 thanks to Danny Ings’ last-gasp equaliser at Craven Cottage back in mid-September and the striker is 21/10 to score in this one, with Raul Jimenez at 6/4 to add to his eight goals this season.

Brentford vs Manchester City Stats

Brentford’s games have been full of goals this season, especially at the Gtech Stadium, and they’ve scored 27 goals and conceded 19 in just 10 home fixtures this term. Against Man City then, over 3.5 goals is worth considering at 10/11.

The Bees also boast the second-best home record in the division having won seven of those 10 games and they’ve only accumulated one less home point than leaders Liverpool have managed at Anfield. As a result, the 18/5 on offer for them to secure another home win feels generous when you consider City’s form, with Pep Guardiola’s side priced at just 4/6.

Brentford vs Manchester City Odds

Erling Haaland has fallen behind Salah in the race for the Golden Boot, but he still has 16 goals to this name, has recorded the most shots in the league (68), and the most shots on target (44). He is 3/1 to score first in this game, while BTTS is as short as I have seen it at 4/9 - which gives some indication as to what type of game this will be.

Yoana Wissa has notched up 20 shots on target this season and hit the net nine times, so Betfred have put together a price boost for this game that is now 9/2 for Haaland to have 2+ shot on target and Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo to have 1+ SOT. Given the attacking nature of both teams that is well worth considering at this stage.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Stats

The showpiece game on Tuesday night kicks off at 20:00 on TNT Sports 1, as third-placed Nottingham Forest host top of the league Liverpool at the City Ground. Forest have won two and Liverpool four of their last six meetings, but the Tricky Trees handed Arne Slot the only league defeat of his Anfield reign earlier in the season with a 1-0 success.

If you fancy them to do the double this term and go within three points of the top of the table, you can back Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to win at 9/2, while Liverpool are available at 8/13. Forest have won five of nine at home this season so are actually far stronger on the road, while Liverpool are unbeaten on the road having won seven and drawn two of their away matches so far.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Odds

Of course we have to talk about Salah if we are discussing potential goalscorers. He has 18 Premier League goals to his name and is averaging two shots on target every appearance he makes, so the fact he is 21/20 to score anytime and 3/1 to open the scoring.

Forest have scored 11 goals and conceded just seven goals at home this season so perhaps there is value in backing them to do the unthinkable, and keep out Salah and Co. Forest are available at 11/2 to keep a clean sheet while under 2.5 goals is 6/5.
