For the first time in their history, Leeds United have won their first seven league games of a calendar year.

Leeds' flawless start to 2024 has helped them seize the initiative in the race for a top-two finish in the Championship, and they will not want to let their good work go to waste on Saturday's visit to Plymouth Argyle (KO, 12:30).

The pair have already met three times this season, once at Elland Road in the league and twice in the FA Cup fourth round, in which the two shared a 1-1 in West Yorkshire before the Whites ran out 4-1 victors after extra-time in a replay at Home Park.

Plymouth vs Leeds Betting Tips:

  • Leeds to win 3-0 @ 10/1
  • Wilfried Gnonto to score first @ 6/1

Team News

Plymouth midfielder Adam Forshaw has been ruled out of facing his former club while Darko Gyabi, who is on loan from Leeds, is ineligible. Goalkeeper Michael Cooper and forward Mustapha Bundu are injured.

Patrick Bamford pulled up in the warm-up in Leeds' win at Swansea on Tuesday night and is expected to sit out again, so Joel Piroe should continue up front for the visitors at Home Park.

Match Odds

Leeds are 4/9 to record their eighth league win in a row to start 2024 with hosts Plymouth 11/2 to end the Whites' winning streak. The draw is a 4/1 chance.

Both teams have scored in all three of the pair's meetings this season and that outcome is an 8/13 shot.

Leeds to win 3-0 @ 10/1

After a rocky festive period, Leeds have made an exceptional start to 2024.

Tuesday's 4-0 success at Swansea was their seventh league win in a row to start the year and they are short odds to make that eight in Devon on Saturday.

Plymouth have breached the Whites in each of the sides' three meetings this term, but Leeds have kept six clean sheets during their winning run, conceding only one goal in that time, and they are fancied to cruise to victory at Home Park.

In addition to their four-goal rout of Swansea, Leeds have won 3-0 on three occasions this year and a repeat of that scoreline at Home Park looks a decent price at 10/1.

Wilfried Gnonto to score first @ 6/1

The form of Dan James had kept Wilfried Gnonto largely confined to the Leeds bench this season, but an injury to the Wales international has thrust the Italian back into Daniel Farke's starting XI.

A brace in Tuesday's win at Swansea means Gnonto has scored four goals in his last four appearances, and he found the opener in the recent FA Cup replay between the sides at Home Park.

At 6/1, Gnonto looks worth an interest to set Leeds on their way again.
