There's another AFCON double header taking place on Wednesday, as Group F gets underway from Stade Laurent Pokou, San Pedro. First up, it's Morocco vs Tanzania (17:00) and we've asked Adam Roberts to give us his preview and a couple of suggested betting predictions.
Morocco were the pre-tournament favourites to win AFCON 2023 and it's not hard to see why.
The Atlas Lions shocked the world in making it to the semi-finals of Qatar 2022, becoming the first African side to ever progress to that stage of a World Cup.
Now, this talented squad attempt to conquer their continent for only the second time, the first being almost 50 years ago in 1976.
Standing in their way in Group F are DR Congo, Zambia and Wednesday's opponents, Tanzania, suggesting a straightforward route through to the knock out stages should be achievable.
Tanzania have never qualified for the World Cup and have made the Africa Cup of Nations on only two occasions (1980 & 2019). They picked up just one point in their previous two finals visits and will be hard pressed to match that here in a tough looking group.
Walid Regragui has a couple of late injury worries in the form of Noussair Mazraroui and Ayoub El Kaabi but otherwise has a really strong looking XI, with Youssef En-Nesyri, Sofiane Boufal and Amine Harit leading the line. Other stand out players include PSG's Achraf Hakimi, Romain Saïss and Hakim Ziyech.
Tanzania have a full squad to choose from and head coach Adel Amrouche will likely set up in a 3-5-2 formation.
The Betfred traders make Morocco a big favourite to pick up the three points here at 1/4. Tanzania aren't given much of a chance at 10/1, while the draw is backable at 7/2.
The game is fancied to be a fairly low scoring one, with under 2.5 goals currently favourite at 8/11. Both teams to score - No is heavily favoured at 4/9.
Morocco to win to Nil - 8/11
These two sides are seperated by a whopping 108 places in the latest FIFA Rankings and it's difficult to see this fixture going any other way than a comprehensive Moroccan win. The Atlas Lions are riding the crest of a wave right now, after their exploits in the middle east and they will be firmly expecting to with their second Cup of Nations.
The two teams faced off in World Cup qualification back in November and it ended in a comfortable 2-0 win for the favourites. Tanzania simply don't look to have enough firepower to dent this impressive looking Morocco outfit.
Hakim Ziyech to score - 15/8
The Chelsea man is currently on loan at Galatasaray, having never really made the breakthrough in his time thus far in West London. However, it's clear just how talented the diminutive right winger is with the ball at his feet and he is an absolute hero for his home nation.
The 30-year-old has 21 goals in his 55 international appearances and knocked in two goals in the Turkish side's Champions League campaign this season.
Ziyech should get plenty of chances here to add to those numbers in San Pedro.
